Remember When [Nolan]

Nolan blinked a bit in surprise before shooting the male a quick glare at his cheeky comment, responding, "I'm not a puppy!" in an aggravated tone. He rolled his eyes a bit at the male's gesture, watching as the red head disappeared off of the window sill, probably gone for good most likely. No one would ever want to visit this place. "See ya, Ginger." Nolan gave out a light sigh as he stuffed the lollipop down into his pocket for later before laying down on his bed to take a small nap before the others came. Guess not everyone was shitty in this world, the brunette thought to himself as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Honestly, the thought of coming back this place again hadn't crossed the redhead's mind since he left the first time. Even if he could openly admit to having liked the brunette boy with freak abilities like him, they still had both their own, separate lives to deal with. Reno had just kept telling himself that he was comforted by the idea of there being more like him out there... And he was good enough with just having the knowledge of that. So then why, after a couple of weeks since their first meeting, had Reno found himself returning to this old orphanage? It had even reached to the point of becoming routine for him. Sometimes he hid, sometime just to pay a visit to Nolan and mess around, before getting kicked out by the old folks there or leaving before they'd find him. This was just another one of those days where Reno had decided to pop up at the place, jumping inside from the same window he had on his first 'visit'. As he landed inside, he saw to his delight it was empty of people, but sadly even of Nolan. Shrugging it off and figuinrg he'll pop up soon enough he dragged himself over to the brunette's bead and laid down, whinching as his sore back hit the matress.

Once again, Nolan excluded himself from the activities with the other children and came up with an excuse of a sick stomach to go back to the rooms. But to only his knowledge, Nolan had a feeling that the red headed male had made a visit. He had been doing such these past few weeks after their first meeting. As Nolan entered the room, brown eyes took notice of the stretched red head on his bed quickly. Didn't look like he was comfortable at all. "I though you already figured that these were shitty beds," he remarked out in an amused tone as he walked over to his bed, glancing down at the male. There was a healing split cut on his bottom lip that hadn't been there the last time that Reno had seen him.

Keeping his eyes closed for another moment, Reno just smiled as he heard the other boy speak up, pleased that he didn't have to wait that long for him to turn up. "I did, but I needed to lay down so this sad excuse of a bed just had to do," he snickered, glancing up at the brunette. As his blue eyes took in the other's face, his smile almost immediately falter as he took notice of the cut on Nolan's lip. Ignoring the pain shooting out though his spine as he quickly sat up, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him down until he was seated by the redhead's side. "Who did it?" he asked in a demanding tone, frowning.

Nolan snickered a bit at the male comment, furrowing his eyebrows as the red head's smile was faltering. That's when he took notice of the male's gaze on his lips, knowing for sure that the male had spotted his cut. Before he could say anything, the brunette's arm was grabbed and was quickly pulled down onto the bed beside Reno. Nolan huffed a bit at the question asked, snatching his arm out of the male's grasp. "Who do ya think? Just one of those typical bullies." He then side glanced at the the frowning red head, adding, "Don't worry, I'm not the only one who got wounds."

Reno still didn't look too pleased with what had happened, and even if it were a normal occurrence, didn't make it any more tolerable. Still, his frown diminished a bit when Nolan assured him how he ahd left those morons something to remember him by as well, making it painfully clear that he always hits back just as much, if not more if her wasn't in any mercy sort-off-mode. "I'm surprised they're not hospitalized yet," he sighed after another quick inspection on Nolan's face, laying back down on the bed. Reno was tempted to go and leave some wounds on them himself just for the hck of it. "I mean, even without your powers, your punches are freaking deadly," he snickered, nudging the brunette with his knee a bit. "So, anything else beside beating up bullies that's happened since my last visit?" he asked casually, fishing out a lollipop from his pocket and tossing it to Nolan. "I bet you missed me~"

"I'll definitely get kicked out of here," Nolan remarked, shrugging his shoulders a bit. They best be glad that his powers hadn't came out when the male had punched him in the fact that time. As long as he remembered to use physical violence then his powers wouldn't be a problem. Even though his powers had been the reason for why all the lights in the eating area were busted completely. The brunette lightly snickered at the red head's comment about his punches, nodding his head. "They'd be even deadlier if I could do some kind of an electrical punch," he commented in a curious tone, wondering if he could be able to do that. It'd be definitely awesome! At the male's question, Nolan shook his head a bit. "Nah, not really. Just getting really tired of this place though," he sighed a bit, catching the lollipop with a light smirk. "Hm? Think I missed these more," he remarked in a teasing remark, winking playfully at the male.

"Ooooh you should totally try that out!" Reno said a bit excitedly, grinning evilly at the idea. It would be cool too se a punch like that be pulled on someone. And epic. And surely messy as hell too. Wow, Reno really was more of a sadist than he was aware of himself. He titled he his head a bit as he caught the sigh from the other, his expression turing a bit thoughtful. He pouted at Nolan's remark, faking a offended and hurt look as he pushed the other of the bed. "How rude, and here I was hoping to invite you out for ice cream," he sighed dramatically as he sat up, grinning smugly down at the other. "Speaking of which..." Jumping up to his feet, he grabbed Nolan by the arm for a second time that day and pulled him along towards the window. "Let's get out of this shithole, give yourself some breathing space."

Nolan chuckled a bit at the male's enthusiasm, nodding his head in agreement. "I'll work on it hopefully," he grinned at the sight of the male's pouting, rolling his eyes at the fake offended expression. He was more than pleased to see the red head and to get a free lollipop. At the mention of ice cream, the brunette's ears perked at this and he pouted a bit. "Now that's just cruel..." he huffed a bit, sticking his tongue out at the male before being pushed out of the bed onto the floor. Nolan scowled darkly up at the male before gasping in surprise as his arm was once again pulled up and towards the window by the red head. Brown eyes glanced out the window before back at the red head, then remarked, "You better hope they don't find out I'm gone."

Reno just laughed at the next remark, jumping up on the window sill and not lookin to conrenred over the risk. "In worst case, I'll just take you back home with me," he said back unbotherd. "And my bed's much more comfortable than this piece of trash," he winked, jumping out. As he landed on the ground, he made a quick look around to see if anyone would've spotted them, but was fast to note that no one was even close by. They're free to go.
"Right then, let's go get that ice cream!" He beamed, turning to look up and see if Nolan was comming. "Need me to catch you princess~?"

"Don't make me make sure that you hold up to that," Nolan remarked quickly, smirking at the red headed male.It actually seemed like it would be nice, to be in the same place with someone he enjoyed being around with. He rolled his eyes a bit at the male's remark before the ginger jumped out of the window.Nolan took a small breath before letting it out heavily as he got up on the window sill and looked down at the red head. At the princess comment, Nolan scowled a bit, pink tinging his cheeks in embarrassment. "No way!" He shouted down at the male before hopping of the window down beside the red head. "Do i look like a princess to ya?" He scowled in annoyance, muttering something along the red head owing him two scoops.

Seeing the blush on his friend's face only made Reno's grin grew, moving a bit a to the side as the brunette jumped down (by himself sadly) and landed beside him. Reno just snorted, tilting his head a bit and started without hesitation: "Yes?" Teasing the brunette was both risky and too much fun. "A little prncess locked away in some dark dungeon, but unlike all thsoe other bimbos she doesn't need a prince, or wait around for anyone to save her," he went on before Nolan would've punched or shocked him or something. "Ok, so ice cream!" he exclaimed, turning on his heel and began walking, gesturing for Nolan to follow. "I'll give ya three scoops just beacuse I'm so nice."

Nolan growled in annoyance, ready to punch the male in the shoulder yhat is until the ginger moved on away from him. "Better be glad ya moved..." he grumbled, quirking an eyebrow as Reno went on describing Nolans life as a comparison to a princess. As much as he hated to admit it,but the male's remark was a bit true and amusing. "Such a lovely remake of my life," Nolan commented in a sarcastic tone, quirking an eyebrow at the male. "You better do so!" He remarked on as he followed after the male.

"I know right?" Reno said playfully, giving Nolan a wink. Princess or not, Reno fund the brunette adorable and fun to hang around with anyway. And even more so, because they appear to share more in common than they've both originally thought from the beginning. It was... easy to understand the other boy, and at the same time Nolan didn't seem to judge him like everyone else constantly did. It felt relaxing., comfortable.
"Didn't know you held such love for ice cream, princess" Reno couldn't hep but joke lightly. As they reached the place, the man behind the counter looked less than pleased as he saw the fmailair redhead walk in, giving bth the boys a look. "You actually biy somethign this time or just mess up the shop again?" he mutterd.
"My, lovely as ever to see your depressing mug glaring down at me," Reno snorted, before turning beaming happily at his company. "So then, choose whatever flavor ya like!"

Nolan couldnt help but smile a bit at the red head male, chuckling a bit at his comment. It was a crazy miracle that this red headed boy hopped through the window of his orphanage. And it got even crazier when the male kept on visiting even though he was kicked out if caught. To Nolans surprise, the ginger was someone who Nolan could definitely trust and ...call a friend. "Well I did like it when I had been adopted a few times." He remarked, his eyebrow twitching at the princess name. He'd rather stick with his power nicknames than that. As nolan followed reno into the ice cream shop, he wrinkled at the aight of the annoyed owner. Guess the ginger and this guy had history. At renos remark,the brunettes eyes gazed over the flavors before they landed on his favorite. "Double mint chocolate."

"You heard him," Reno told the owner, having another little staring contest with the big man before he grunted and went to fix their order, Reno having ordered just one scop of vanilla flavored. Before the man handed over their ice cream however, he fixed the redhead with a dark look, close to threatening almost but to which all the ginger responded with was a flat, unimpressed look. "The money's right here, shit-face," he grumbled, tossing the money on the counter. Grabbing their treats and handing Nolan his, he gestured for his fried it was to leave, before the man decided the need to add: "Paying up with your drug money? Following in daddy's footsteps I see."
Reno didn't turn around, or shot back with some smart ass comment. Instead he just mumbled out a quick 'come on' to Nolan as he hurried them both out of there. "Don't mind him, he's just depressed because he found his wife cheating on him a couple of weeks back," he said nonchalantly once they were outside, acting as if nothing in there had just happend. "So, how's the ice cream?" he asked a bit eagerly.

Nolans eyes brightened up at the sighy of his ice cream, but that slightly dimmed a bit at the owners dark threatening gaze. What was this guys problem?! He got a hold of his ice cream and followed renos gesture to leave the shop. Although he paused for a noment at what the man said about renos money and his father. His eyebrows furrowed a bit at this piece of information but didnt speak and followed the red head out the shop. As they left the shop, Nolan side glanced at the male.after taking a bite of his ice cream,nodding in response to his question. "It's really good..thanks Reno." He sheepishly beamed at the male before gazing at him for a bit."I aint gonna judge you about what I heard. You only...deliver the drugs right?" Nolan wasnt keen on the idea of the ginger being on drugs and getting addicted to them.

The smile Reno had for reciving such a grateful answer at first, quickly faded when Nolan asked about the whole 'drug thing' the shop owner had been oh so kind to bring up in there. Even as Nolan assured him that he wasn't going to judge, this subject was still not something Reno was to keen on talking about. But not for the reasons one might think...
"The thought about trying that shit hasn't crossed my mind yet," he shrugged nonchalltnly, not halting in his steps as he leaed them both into one of the many abandoned alley ways. "So yeah... I'm just the errand boy. They pay is decent enough," he murmured a bit quieter. Walking over to the firee scape, he jumped up and grabbed hold of the ladder, effortlessly pulling it down and began climbing up. Smiling over at Nolan over his shoulder, indicating for him to follow he contuined making his way upwards towards the rooftop.

"Well don't let the thought cross your midn ever," Nolan demanded on the red headed male as he followed the male down the alley way. "Errand boy?...was that one of the reasons ypu were being chased the firdt time I met ya?" He questioned the male in a curious tone.The brunette then watched as the red head jumped grabbed the ladder and pulling it down before climbing up. Nolan kept a good hold onto his ice cream before grabbing ontothe ladder and started climbing after the ginger.

"Aw princess, didn't now you cared that much," Reno cooed from up ahead, secretly a bit touched by Nolan's demand, but still not wanting to keep talking about the same subject. He'd tell his friend some other day, if he'd still want to. But today..? No, Reno just wanted to make something nice of it before it was over. "Yeah, pretty much," he answered the brunette's question, turning around to pull the other up once he set his foot on roof. Once they were both finally there, the redhead skipped over to the edge, which revealed a surprisingly nice view of the slums they called home, the sun that was about to set adding to it and making it look much prettier than it actually was.
Smiling back at his friend, Reno slumped down, patting the empty pace beside him as he dangled his legs over the edge.

"Ya keep calling me princess, I'll definitrlly use an eletrcial punch on you one day!" Nolan grumbled up at tge male, rollong his eyes a bit as he continued to climb up behind the ginger. "Least you weren't caught then." As Nolan eached the top of the roof behind Reno, his brown eyes widened a bit at the view. "Whoa, nice view you found, ginger." He remarked in a surprised tone as he went on and sat down by the male, nibbling on his ice cream.

Reno's smile turned a bit sheepish at the threat, somehow believing the brunette's words a little to muhc even if he may have been joking. Still, the nicknames would stick around. Nolan wa just to fun and precious to not give nicknames to! "If I get caught I'll just escape," he said offhandedly, focusing back on the view infront of them once Nolan joined his side. His smile widen a bit, happy to have someone to share this little view with, especially today.
"One of my better talents," he chuckled porudly. "Finding the better parts of this little shithole." As they both just sat there, enjoying their little treat along with the view, Reno eventually leaned backwards until he was laying down on the cold roof. "Aah, what a nice brithday it turned out to be," he mumbled out in content. "Thanks Sparky."

"You better." Nolan grumbled, side glancing at the male. He chuckled a bit at the males commeny, shaking his head a bit at this. "I guess you could call this view finding a talent," Nolan snickered in a teasing tone at the red headed male. But he had to admit, that the ginger really knew how to find the views in this place. Brown eyes watched as the male lean back onto the roof before widening at what the ginger said. "It's your birthday?! Why didnt you tell me!"

Reno blinked up at the brunette' snorting in amusent at his reaction. "I was suppose to?" he laughed, not seeing the porblem or what the big deal in this. "And well, I told you now, didn't I," he pointed out as he pushed himself back into a sitting position, throwing one arm over Nolan's shoulder. "And like I said, the day turne dout nice! Wouldn't ya agree? You even got ice cream!" he beamed.

"Yes!" Nolan countered, nodding his head quickly, pouting a bit in annoyance. Why surprise Nolan with news of his own birthday? "Could have told me.." he huffed in annoyance, rolling his eyes at the males comment. Nolan let out a sigh, shruging his shoulders a bit. "It did turn out nice, but the ice cream thing would make alot more sense if iy was my birthday," Nolan grumbled a bit.
