Remember When [Nolan]

"Get back here you little shit!"
Cursing to himself, while giving his pursuers another lewd gesture, the redheaded teen quickly made his way around a corner in some back alley, acting by sheer instinct and without hesitation as he jumped and grabbed hold of an old ladder. Having memorized every back alley and secret little passages in this rotten city sure was more helpful than one gave credit for. He was up on the roof before the men chasing him had time to even see where he went, and pulled up the ladder before they would've spotted it. Grinning wickedly to himself as he watched the dumb grown ups look around and curse wildly. Giving himself a pat on the shoulder for another job well done, he turned and walked across the roof towards the fire escape on the other side, whistling himself all the while. Those stupid old dealres just never learn, he thoguth smugly to himself, making sure the drugs and money he had whisked away from them was still safely secured inside his hoodie. The moment his old sneakers hit the ground again however, a yell demaning for him to 'stop fucking running!' made him realise that eh ah celebrated a bit to early. Hate it when this happens, he mentally cursed, alreayd back on boltign the fuck away from them. Startign to grow tired, Reno acted again without really thinking and bolted towards the closest bulding he was passing by. Seeing one of them windows half open, he quikcly made a jump and managed to grabb hold of the threshold, barely even feeling it when the skin of his palms gut cut open and just pulled himself inside. Ladnigng with a loud thud on the floor, he pressed his back agaisnt the wall quickly, heaving out a small sigh of relaief as he heard the men foolsihly run past him again and relaxed. Finllay.

Nolan grumbled lightly as he pressed the small bag of ice against his knuckles that had been given to him by one of the caretakers at the orphanage. Before they had taken off with the rest of the employers and children on some field trip. The brunette couldn't remember what the place was going to be, but if he didn't remember then it didn't matter to him. He had been banned from the trip anyway. But the one thing that mattered to Nolan, was that he got to punched that damned punk in the face before the trip. Now both him and the asshole were not going on the trip, he was stuck here while the other male was probably crying at the hospital with a broken nose. That's what the boy deserved for continuously messing with Nolan about how many times he had gotten returned to the orphanage. "Better be glad that I didn't electrocute his ass," he grumbled under his breath as he walked into the room and headed towards his bed. But his movement quickly came to a stop when a young red headed male had suddenly slung himself into the room through the opened window and landed on the floor with a thud. Oh great, do I go to bruise my other hand as well now? Nolan thought to himself as he stared over at the male silently before glancing at the window at the sounds of other angry voices rushed past. "They're gone. So make yourself scarce and get out." the brunette commented over at the boy, before continuing over to his bed. Should Nolan be scared of the stranger? No, not really. It would be the other way around if his powers came into play.

Tensing up a bit again as another voice spoke up, Reno's head shot up to look at the other boy in the room, quickly relaxing again and leaning back against the wall. "Nah, gonna shill here for a while," he shot back with casually, jumping up on his feet and looking outside the window for any traces of those assholes. Yupp, the brunette was right, they were gone. Grinning to himself in victory, he pushed himself away from the window, twirling around on his feet to take in the room. "Right, this is the orphanage," he thought out loud to himself, making sure his googles were still intact as he fixed them back into place. It was first then he remembered the cuts on his hands as he smeared some of the blood over his face, but paid more mind to it seeing as it had already healed up. "Emptier than i expected, did the rest die or something?" he asked, not really caring as he turned to look at the boy on the bed. "Or do you just get the whole room for yourself?" he laughed, jumping down on the mattress beside the other.

Nolan side glanced over at the male in irritation at his comment of staying here for a bit, shaking his head a bit as he sat down cross legged onto his bed. "No shit." he snarkily remarked as he watched the male twirling around, quirking an eyebrow at the pair of goggles on his head. He then blinked a bit in surprise at the sight of smeared...blood on the male's cheek? "You do know that you're bleeding right?" How could someone not notice something like that? Humans needed blood to live, it was a common fact. The brunette then shook his head and responded to the male's question, "The rest are on some trip, while one is in the hospital crying his eyes out over a broken nose," Nolan smirked lightly at the thought the boy being miserable with having to miss the trip and a trip to the hospital. "I wish," he scoffed, remarking the male's last comment and giving the boy a look when the red head had jumped onto the bed with him.

Reno titled his head a bit, as if confused at first when Nolan mentioned somethign about him bleeding. Oh yeah, having blood on his face and hands wasn't exactly a cheerful sight. "Oh don't worry about that, got plenty of blood in me," he shrugged it off casually, trying to wip of the blood from his cheek with his hoodie. As the brunette explained why the place lacked of people, Reno smirked a bit in approvement, givign him a thumb's up before laying down on the bed, occpying most of the space there was. "Guess the kd must've deserved it then, sicne you don't look so uspet yourself over missing the trip," he snickerd, makign a light grimace when he couldn't get comfortable. "What the hell is this matress made off? Bolts?!" he whined, sitting back upand glaring down at the sheets. "And you actully sleep on this... Poor thing," he sighed over dramatcilly, pulling the other into a hug. "Oh yeah, name's Reno. What can I call you?" he asked brightly without letting go of the other.

"...Still...you seem so casual about it," Nolan remarked, giving the male a what the hell look. Was this kid on something? And he thought the kids in the orphanage were strange... The brunette scowled darkly in annoyance when the red head laid down on the bed, taking most of the space on the bed. Causing Nolan to have little space to sit. "On a trip with the rest of those people? No thanks," he huffed in annoyance, glancing away from the red head. Sure, he would've been crazily excited years ago about a field trip. But lately, life just kept on getting shittier and shittier for him. So why bother with a trip that would have him around those who looked down at him with fear and worry(for their own life). "Yes, he definitely did." Nolan remarked, shrugging his shoulders and chuckling dryly at the male's whining about the bed. That is until he was suddenly pulled into a hug by the red head male. He immediately began to squirm in the other male's grasp. "What the hell! Let go!" he gruffly demanded, feeling his powers starting to rise up a bit. "Nolan." he hissed before grasping one of the male's wrists and shocking him lightly. Strangers don't just freaking hug each other!

Reno couldn't help but laugh a little at the other's reaction to him suddenly hugging him. Well ok, one normally didn't just go around and hug strangers (that was more Kim's thing, guessed he's been hanging around her too much) but Reno never usually did things that others considered to be 'normal' to start with. Especially not when he's in oen of his so called 'hyper mode'. Still has some adrenaline left after that wild dog chase. He was just about to let go when eh was given a name, until he suddenly felt electricity shot out through his wrists and arms. "What the shit?!" he yelped out, falling down to the floor at the sudden shock. "Ow!" he whined, quickly sitting back up to glare up at the other boy. But that glare quickly replaced itself with an awed expression. "You're a freak too?" he blurted out, immediately back up to his feet as nothing had just happen. But there was no hint of fear or hate in neither his eyes or tone, but more like... happiness? Relief? Maybe both. "You're like me! Or well not exactly, I can't shock people but... Watch this!" he beamed, taking out a pocket knife from his jean's pockets, and while holding out his hand for Nolan to see he cut his palm open. As the blood began to pour out, Reno didn't even as much as flinch, or seemingly feel the pain if his bright expression was anything to go by. And within a couple of seconds, the wound he had just made on himself was healed up. "Pretty neat huh!"

Nolan scrambled out of the male's grasp, watching with a satisfied look as the other male fell off the bed onto the floor. "I told you to let go, didn't I?" he snarkily remarked, wrinkling his nose a bit down at the male and glared back at him as well. Although the other male's change of expression really surprised him! Even his next remark did as well! Although being called a freak made the brunette wince a bit. "Gee, thanks for that." he scowled a bit, quirking an eyebrow down at the male before blinking a bit at the sight of the pocket knife. He was like him? Why did he just bring out a knife?! Before Nolan could do or say anything else, the red headed male had sliced his own palm and held it out for him to see. Nolan grimaced deeply at the sight of the blood flowing, but widened his eyes as the wound suddenly healed up in a matter of seconds. "Actually kind of gross really," he muttered, the sight of blood had made him feel a bit queasy. This blood was different because Nolan hadn't cause the male harm like that other boy.

"Yeah I guess it is," Reno snickers, giving the other a little sheepish smile. He had become so accustomed to seeing blood, whether it washes own or someone else's, that the fact of it being gross for others slips his mind. "And sorry about the 'freak' part," he went on, rubbing the back of his head as he smiled apologetically at Nolan. "Been referred to that so long myself, i kinda forget it's hurtful sometimes."
Putting away the knife back inside his pockets, he gave Nolan another smile before looking around the room again. "So, Nolan was it? You look more like Sparky," he went on casually as he began to roam around, as if investigating the place and looking for something interesting to find. When he didn't seems to find anything worthy of his time, he instead walked straight for the door. "Ya gonna give me a tour or not, Sparky?"

Nolan shrugged his shoulders a bit, not really caring that the male was apologizing for what he had said. It wouldve pissed him off back when he was confused to the strange things happening to him that happened to be his powers. "How does it not hurt?" He scoffed, shaking his head a bit at the nonsense that the male said. It didnt bother him, but it did hurt when called that.

His eyebrow twitched a bit in annoyance as the male gave him a nickname. "Shut it with the nicknames...Ginger." he scowled in annoyance over at the male walking around, like he was looking for something before heading to the door. Nolan simply stared over at the male with a blank expression before glancing down at his melting ice bag. Might as well throw it away or get a new one, the brunette thought to himself as he hopped off the bed and headed over to the door."Better leave before the rest come back...And my name isn't sparky!" He grumbled under his breath before opening the door and walking out of the room.

Reno hummed in thought to himself at the brunette's scoff, peering out into the dark hallway. How does it not hurt? "Guess I just stopped caring about it," he said offhandedly, smirked smugly over at the other when he shot back with a nickname himself. "Ooooh classy," he mocked, giving the boy a teasing wink. "'Ginger', never heard that one before," he snickerd sarcasticlly, happilly skipping after Nolan as they walked out of the room. "But Sparky suits you to well!" he went on, clealry unbotherd by the demand to leave alreayd before the others returned. Making his way ahead, he turned and stepped inside the kitchen as he walked past it, humming to himself as he began to wash off the blood from his hand in the sink.

"Lucky you," Nolan muttered in distaste in response to the red head's answer.He rolled his eyes at the male's teasing wink and mocking tone. "Sarcastic asshole, arent ya?" He scowled a bit as he walked through the hallway, taking quick notice that the male wasn't leaving it seemed. "Sounds like a dog name." He simply remarked as he walked into the kitchen and tossing the melted ice bag into the trash can. His hand felt better for a bit, so he didnt desire to get another bag."Your hair is seriously the color red. Like blood." The brunette commented as he glanced over at the male.

"Cute right?" Reno respned back cheerfully at the dog comment, apparnetly not seeing what was so bad about that. "I can always go with Bolt instead, suits you pretty nicely too," he chuckled as he finsiehd washing off his hands, wlaking past the other boy and towards the refrigerator instead. Just as he was about to open it however, Nolan's last comment made him freeze up from a moment, and cast a the other boy a blank look over his shoulder. "And it's completley natural," he shot back after a couple fo seconds, smirking in a very typical way of his and turned back to snoop around the refrigerator. He had alsmot execpted soemthgin rude or teasing to be sad about his unatural hair color, and ha dbeen prepared to hiss back somethign just as cruel. But to his pleasent surprise, Nolan had done neither. "Your hair is nice too though, so no need to be jealous," he chuckled. "...wow, the caretakes here really need to do some shopping. What do they even feed you with here?" he snorted, kicking it close as he turned back around. Focusing back on the brunette, his blue eyes traile down to the boy's brusied up hand. "You sure know how to hit, without your powers," he remakred, sounding a bit impressed as he said this. "Does it hurt?"

"Lay offthe electrical nicknames,ginger." Nolan huffed over at the other boy, quirking an eyebrow as the boy quickly looked back at him with a blank expression. That is before he exclaimed that his hair color was natural. "Never did say that it wasnt." The brunette quickly remarked back, sticking his tongue out at the male. He liked the male's hair color, but he wasnt going to say that outloud. The boy would probably tease him even the though the red head has actually commented that his hair was pretty as well. "Pretty hair? Isnt that what you're suppose to say to a girl?" He scoffed, wrinking his nose a bit at the sight of little food in the refrigerator. "They dont starve us here." He simply said before noticing the male's gaze on his hand. Nolan shrugged his shoulders as he stared down at his hand. "Not much right now..and yeah I do. I'm not that too keen on letting my powers out much."

Reno snorted, quickly reaching out and messing up the brunette's hair when eh was close enough. "It is? Girl or boy, if something is pretty, it's pretty!" he just reasoned, grinning a bit wickedly after retreaving his hand. "Although, it is as soft as a girl's hair. Maybe even a bit softer~" He took a half step back, lahging a bit at his own words. His expression turned a bit dobutign at nolan's reassurese that they did not get starved here, but shrugged that topic off nontheless. "So, are your powers mostly a secret from everyone else here then?" he asked, geuinly sounding curious. Well he was, about the other boy in general. He's the first person beside hismelf who's Reno encounterd with 'special abilites'. "You kinda look like the tempremental type though," he went on, leaning towards the other as if inspecting him. "Like, when you're pushed enough, you explode and go apeshit on anyone who happens to be close enough."
Glacning down at Nolan's hand again, he reached out and gently took hold of his wrist before pulling him towards one o the chairs and sitting him down. "Let's put some ice on that."

Slight pink quickly tinged the brunettes cheek out of embarrassment as the other male reached out and ruffled up his hair. He quickly shook his head of the male's hand and shot the male a light glare. "Thats your logic, not mine." He immediately rolled his eyes at the male's comment, responding "you are seriously weird..." Though his voice held no disgust and such, just some slight amusement.

Nolan slightly paused at the male's question before shaking his head. "Not really.A few of them believe that the acidents around here have been my fault.The others are just plain stupid." He answered with a light scoff, before backing up a bit when the male leaned in, inspecting him. "Lovely obversation there, guenious." Nolan snided in a sarcastic tone, quickly tensing up as the ginger took a hold of his wrist and bwgan pulling him to a chair. He was about to snatch his wrist from the male's grip but stopped when he was settled down in a chair. Nolan looked up at the male with a confused expression. "There's no need, it doesnt hurt anymore much."

Oh, that's adorable, Reno thought a bit dumbstruck as he noticed the brunette's cheek quickly heat up by his teasing. [i]A little to adorable. [/in] His usual grin was quickly back in place however as ig nothing just happen, laughing a bit at 'weird' comment and giving a nonchalant shrug. Being called weird was not an offense to him, he took it more with pride whenever someone called him that. And besides, when Nolan said it, it didn't sound like anything negative.
"Really?" he murmured, quirked an eyebrow at Nolan's answer, pulling out a chair for himself and slumping down on it. "Well most of the human population are stupid, so we'll just have to deal with it," Reno snickers, ignoring the rest of Nolan's words as he kept his focus on his bruised up knuckle anyway. "Hurting or not, still want it to heal up nicely," he grinned, getting mischievous glint in his eyes. "Want me to kiss it better~?" he purred, secretly hoping to see another blush on the boy's face.

"Pretty sad really," Nolan huffed a bit at the male's comment of most of the human population to be stupid. Guess they had similar views of others. "They won't like how I deal with it," he remarked, referring to his bruised knuckles with a satisfied smirk. Hopefully it will only be physical thpugh. Nolan was terrified if his powers harmed someone, it happened way back when he was a toddler. His foster mother had to go to the hospital for the accident.
At the red head's comment, Nolan narrowed his eyes as he saw something mischevious shimmer in those blue eyes. When the male purred out that ridiculous teasing question, Nolan couldn't help but feel his cheeks burning a bit more. Nolan quickly shook his head and balled up his good hand, tilting his head to the side. "I don't mind busting my other hand up." He threatened the other male, not too enthused with the teasing. Making him blush like a girl wasn't exactly thrilling him either!

Reno chuckled at the other's remark, giving hima bit of a found smile one could say. Apparently they shared a bit in common, at least when it came to the view of the world, or the shitty people living in it along with them. "They don't like my ways to deal with it either, by hey that's their problem," he said nonchalantly.
As Nolan's cheeks heated up once again in that adorable way, Reno was more than delighted to know it was because of him. So precious, he thought wickedly, having to bite his lip to stop himself from bursting out in laughter. He got the feeling he'd get both punched and electrocuted if so. "Hurting me wouldn't really do much, remember," he chuckled, holding up his hands as if surrendering and leaning back in his chair. Just because he was used to pain and could heal fast, didn't mean he enjoyed it. As Kim so kindly put it, he hasn't reached the 'masochist' level quite yet. "And don't blame me that you blush so easily! How am I suppsoe to resist that?"

Nolans eyebrow twitched as he watched the male semingly holding back his laughter. He better not laugh...the brunette wondered how the male would heal with a few missing teeth if such laughter happened. He wrinkled his nose at the male's comment, shrugging his shoulders a bit. "That would make it less satisfying...although I think I'll be satisfied with hearing the crunch of my fist connecting with your nose," he snickered, quirking an eyebrow as the male put his hands up as surrender. "I wonder if it'll hurt when your nose heals..." he murmured to himself in a curious tone. At the blushing comment, the brunette quickly shot him a glare. "Of course you can resist teasing me, and you are the blame." Nolan scowled, leaning back in the chair.

Pouting at the other boy's threats, Reno coverd his nose protectivly with both of his hands, leaning back a bit further in his chair. "You need to chill, learn to take a joke," he sncikerd, giving Nolan a bit of a wary look before lowering his hands from his face. "And a broken nose is no joking matter either," he added with a huff. "Just beacuse I have a healing factor doesn't mean I'm ok with getting hurt all the time." Even while saying this, the redhead didn't look so botherd or worried about the risk of getting punched... or shocked. THough seriously, he'd rather avoid either of the things.

Nolan smirked in delight at the sight of the male covering his nose protectively, delighted that his threats were doing something.He unballed his fist and crossed his arms over his chest."You need to learn to draw a line at teasing," Nolan retorted back at the male, sticking his tongue out at him."Well it seems that you like getting in trouble though. Looked like those guys were looking for ya," he remarked before hopping up out of the chair, giving the red head a side glance. "Ya might wanna leave before the rest get back. One of those bitchy employees will definitely throw you out or call the police." After saying this, Nolan headed out of the kitchen back to the rooms.

"There's a line to be drawn?" Reno snickers, as if he didn't evn know what that meant. He soon enough shrugged that off as well however, and jumped off from his chair. At Nolan's suggestion about him leaving now before getting found out, he merely just started after the other as the boy walked out of kitchen, and probably heading back to the rooms. Well, I do still need to go and buy medecine, the redhead reasoned with himself, following out after Nolan.
"Thanks for the hospitality Sparky, really appreciate it," he beamed once stepping inside of the room again, walking straight over towards the still open window. Those fools chasing before really need to learn how to look around. "Oh right, as payment for your silence," he said then right as he jumped up on the sill, fishing after something in his pocket. "A treat for the good boy!" he cooed, tossing a lollipop to the brunette.

"Yes there is," Nolan huffed a bit as he entered the room and headed straight back over to his bed. He looked over to see the red head heading over to the open window, his eyebrow twitching at the nickname. "Thanks for the distracting intrustion, Ginger." He remarked back to the male, tilting his head a bit as the male said that he had payment.The brunette caught the lollipop, glancing dien at it with a surprised look. Hadnt had one of these for a long while. Then glanced back over at the red head, sitting on his bed and giving the male a sheepish smile. "Thanks...though that really sounded like you were speaking to a puppy," he huffed a bit.

"Ya more than welcomed," the redhead said back a bit to cheerfully at the remark, obviously not minding the nicnmane that much. Seeing the surprised look on Nolan's face just made Reno smile a bit more. Wonder when the last time was the other boy recived a treat like that. His smirk turend smug at Nolan's last sentence, givign hima teasing wink. "Well, I did," he shot back cheecikly, blowing the boy a kiss as he jumped down from the window. "Bye bye little puppy!" And he was off, gone in a matter of seconds.
