Silent waters - Zack

"Well then!" Zack said, in a feigned huff. "If you like her so much more than me you should just go hang out with her." He made his wings fluff up to help him feign indignation over this apparent 'betrayal'

A little annoyed she rolled her eyes and pulled him back down to her. "Not so fast! How about you tell me some more about yourself."

"What's there to say? You've fallen for my sister!" Zack lamented over dramatically. But now he was smiling at her. "Not much to say. Country boy. Former soldier. Came here to make a difference. What about you?"

"Soldier?" She repeated in suprise. "How come or rather how did you came here then?" She asked before leaning a little onto him. "Me? Well I´m a single child, only have my mother ... nothing much to say really actually."

Zack sighed. "The military sucks. Let's just leave it at that." Zack said. "Would have gotten a dishonorable discharge before I decided to leave on my own. Didn't agree with orders I'd get." Certainly not when they either put civilians at risk or did the exact opposite of what he had set out to do.

"Ah I see." She replied nodding before grabbing him close for a hug, giving it a try to make him a little happier or ... loved?, with some more attention of hers. "Well however it surely is great to have you here now!"

Zack smiled when she hugged him. At least it appeared he wasn't the only affectionate person on campus. He placed a light hand on her back. "It's the past," he insisted, despite how it wasn't the best of things to have had happen. "But thank you."

"Eeeeeeverytime." She said with a smirk. "May I ask if you actually can fly with those wings?"

"Duh. You think these things are for show?" Zack asked as he lifted one up. They made the beach a tad bit uncomfortable because of all the fluff but during winter he loved his wings greatly. He didn't even need a coat with them. Granted he would have a hard time finding a coat that fit over his wings, even if he did make a hole for them.

She shrugged while smiling at him before chuckleing. "Well how should I know? Some dinosaurs I forgot the name of also had wings but couldn´t fly at all."

Zack pulled his wings back in. He could make a show of a flight for her right there but he wasn't really in the mood. He had already flown for a few days with his sister and their belongings a few days ago and he was still resting up. "Maybe I could show you sometime." Zack offered.

"Oh that surely would be great!" She replied with sparkling eyes before she turned serious though friendly again and gave him a teasing poke. "Only because you want of course since I definitely don't intent to force you into anything okay?"

"Force me? Please. Wings are something you want to show off. It at least gets you attention." Zack pointed out. If there was anything Zack was good at, it was getting attention, whether it was good attention or bad. Showing off his flying ability was just one flashy way of doing just that. He also loved to fly so it was a win-win for everyone involved.

"Oh good to know then." She replied with a chuckle before she continued. "Well I´m sure it´s not just because of your wings you get quite some attention but nevermind."

"Got you to stop and stare didn't it?" Zack asked with a grin. He had to admit, it was slightly amusing to him whenever people confused him with an Angel. The fact that Astrid seemed to have thought she crossed over and he was sent to collect her, was even more comical. "And here I thought it was for my devilish good looks."

"Actually ..." Astrid replied as she raised her finger, smirking at him. "... that´s exactly what I just meant." Truth to be told he really was quite handsome for her taste and so far sure to her liking.

"Well then, I'm glad to see it's working and that you approve. I do aim to please, after all." With that said, he winked at her. He knew he was attractive and he tended to flirt with everyone for fun. To get a laugh. He hadn't met anyone to be serious about yet but perhaps the academy would change things.

"Tzzz mission accomplished Mr Angel." She replied with a chuckle. At least the flirty ones in Elite were quite fun here ... well most of them but for sure this one was.

Zack chuckled. He gave her a two fingered salute. He was just glad she hadn't taken her whole shock personally. And then there were those who weren't keen on his feathers. Or his flirtations. "We military boys love to serve." he joked. "Glad to see I'm still up to par."

"Wow could so be taken in a wrong way." She said almost with an embarrassed smirk since even it was only for a moment he even made her to think quite naughty.

Zack blinked almost owlishly before barking a laugh. He even had to hold his stomach because it started to hurt from laughing so hard. "Naughty, Naughty, Astrid. C'mon give me details? What are you thinking about if you're blushing so hard?" he teased. "They have to at least be steamy if I'm involved."

"But I actually meant it in another way!" She said as she pushed him away teasingly while laughing herself. "Well some things better stay secret I guess but let me tell you that much. With you involved it was something reaaaaally hot."

"No fair. If it was that hot you should share!" Zack insisted. He grinned when she pushed him back. It tended to happen a lot. But because she hadn't told him off, Zack was pretty sure she was okay with the conversation.

"Hmmm ... naaaah." Astrid just answered while shrugging. "But feel free trying to guess." She added with a wink as she was sticking out her tongue towards him.

Zack feigned an annoyed groan. He flopped back, his wings against the sand. "Ugh, you're not very nice! Maybe I should go! I was going to go get something to eat before I ran into you!" Zack complained, though his heart wasn't really in it.
