Silent waters - Zack

At his reply she pouted. "Dawh and I was hoping you'd say something naughty I could giggle about, too bad. And yes I know about the showers but thank you anyways." She replied teasing him at first.

"I think you've had plenty of reasons to laugh at me all night." Zack replied. She had plenty of times to laugh at him, some intentional and others not.

"What? No, I meant it rather like laughing WITH you." She said with a very apologizing and embarrased look on her face.

"Hey, I'm teasing," Zack said, nudging her lightly. He really didn't care whether she laughed at him or with him, as long as she was having a good time. Zack himself had very thick skin and it took a lot to make him feel bad about himself, unless someone knew what things to target, mostly his loved ones. If they were unhappy, hew as unhappy. "You've got a great laugh."

Okay, now that actually got her to smile again. "Thank you." Soon she was completely done with her small meal and focused on Zack again. "Any plans for today?"

"Well it's almost evening." Zack pointed out. "Might stay for sunset before heading in for the night. I flew for most of the day so I'm kind of tired. What about you?"

"Apparently not that tired at all but it´s been a long day. How about we head back to the sunset then before we leave for our quarters?" She suggested since the best and the most beautiful place to watch the sun set was at a beach in her opinion.

"On the condition you let me walk you to your room." Zack replied. He was staying for sunset but if she wanted to leave earlier he would see it tomorrow. That was the nice thing about the sun rise and sunset. You could always count on tomorrow.

"Of course." She replied with a big gentle smile, appreciating the act. "So how about we head for the beach then?"

"Naturally!" Zack chirped. He gathered up their trash before disposing of it. He then offered Astrid his hand. "We'll have a great view no matter where we end up." If they were on the board walk, the beach, it didn't really matter to him. The sunset would be nice to see regardless.

"Possible but still ... sunset at the beach is simply the best." Smiling happily at Zack Astrid took his hand so they went back to the beach together and arrived just in time to watch the sun taking a bath in the ocean.

Zack grinned. He looked out at the setting sun. All in all it was a good day. Met someone new, got along, and ended on a good note. All in a day's work it seemed. He really hoped Astrid enjoyed herself as much as he had.

Astrid smiled brightly and sighed. Sunsets sure had something magical on them ... and romantical ... good thing she wasn´t that kind of girl to think about this too much, not to mention to fall for someone very soon. Quickly however the sun had disappeared completely and only left a tainted sky in pink, orange and yellow. "So, time to head to the dorms I guess?"

"We could... Always get you signed up for some frequent flyer miles?" Zack offered with a sly smile. He could fly them back to the dorm in a jiffy and it was much faster than walking. Much more entertaining too.

At first Astrid looked a little puzzled at him, unsure what he meant. But just then it hit her as she got captivated by his wings again and smiled like a little child at christmas at him before turning the smile into a sassy smirk. "That offer I surely would gladly take."

"Hold on." He said before gathering her up in his arms. One powerful swoop later and they were off the ground. He stayed close in case she realized this was not what she wanted.

As they took off Astrid grabed on Zack quite strong and let out a gasp at the very beginning. However not too long after she got to relax quite quick since after all even if she´d fall he then will catch her right?

Zack smiled down at her. "Hey, I've got you," he assured her. "Don't worry." He did this all the time after all. Astrid was just a bit heavier than his sister, but might lighter than when (during his service) he had to carry his comrades out of the heat of a fire fight with full gear on the both of them. "You're as light as a feather," he added, hoping the pun would lighten the mood.

Overwhelmed by the view of underneath her she was almost captivated enough to completely forget she wasn´t alone up there. "Huh? Oh yeah, I know I´m in good hands but thanks anyways though. If I wouldn´t already have no flight fear now is the time for it to disappear." She eventually replied to him smiling.

Zack smiled. "So, what floor are you on?" Zack asked, since it was much more fun to drop her off at her actual room than it was to go to the entrance of the dorms and walk up. Yeah! Boring. He grinned as he started to fly a little higher, but he kept a relatively moderate pace, as not to scare her too much just yet.

"1st one it is." She replied and navigated him towards her room. The flight has been short, too short actually in her opinion, but she didn´t dislike it at all since the first shock of flying without being in a plane got washed away by excitement and joy ... and very nice fresh air.

"Bummer. Would have been much more fun if you were on the third floor." Zack said. He did grin and make a dive for the dorms, pulling up only at the last second and right in front of the dorm entrance. Landing was smooth. He gently set her down as if she were made of glass. "Thank you for flying Fair Air. We hope you enjoyed your flight." He grinned.

"Can´t help it sadly." She replied while he landed and put her down. Turning around to face him she crossed her arms and shrugged. "Well it was okay. Did miss my tomato juice and the snacks." She replied before chuckleing as she of course has been only joking and smiled at him again. "Nah but seriously, thanks for the flight. I really did enjoy it."

"Huh? Hey! I paid for dinner!" Zack protested before realizing she was just kidding. Then he laughed at himself for getting so bent out of shape over it. It left him sheepishly scratching the back of his neck. "You're welcome. Glad you had fun."

"Of course I did mister airplane." She replied giving him a playful poke before she turned to open the entrace door.
