Silent waters - Zack

"Uh that really sounds great! Let's go." She replied happily as she grabed his hand.

Zack chuckled and let her drag him along. Despite his strides tending to be longer than hers he had to pick up his pace to keep up. "That hungry huh?" Zack teased. "Gotta admit. I admire a girl with an appetite. Just don't go getting a salad on me."

As she dragged him along she didn't even got to hear a single word but kept on heading towards the stand Zack told about.

"Slow down!" Zack laughed. "You don't even know what stand you're going to!" He had to admit, it was kind of cute how excited she was, though Zack wasn't sure if it was for the food.

Suddenly she stopped though at least not to abruptly still holding his hand. "Oh .. Okay point taken. Now thenn please go ahead dear Zack."

"How about we walk together?" Zack suggested. He walked with her side by side until they got to the stand. "Order what you want and as much as you want." Zack told her before placing an order for himself for a foot long chili dog and a soda.

"Wow now that indeed is generous." She replied charmingly smiling at him. However offer or not Astrid wouldn't even think about really using it to its all. So she ordered a soda herself as well and a brezel.

Zack paid for what they ordered and when it was done, he carried it over to a bench for the two of them. "Nah, generous is taking you to a steak place and telling you to go nuts." Zack laughed.

Smiling wildly after thanking him for paying and carrying their orders she followed him to the table. "I see I see."

Zack grinned. "Besides, never take someone out somewhere super nice the first time. They'll start to expect it all the time." he said. Zack pulled his wings in close as he sat down and set down their food.

"Mmmmmhmmm ... So ... should I take this as some kind of advice?" She questioned as she raised her brow in curiosity.

"Advice, experience, take it as you will," Zack said. "Be it friends, family or dates." He took a healthy gulp from his soda. Dates were the most prominent in that category. But family was just the same. He smiled up at Astrid.

Astrid just nodded and smiled while she slightly shook her head as she sat down opposite to Zack. "Okay then." She replied before reaching for her brezel and soda.

Zack smiled at her. He took a bite of his chili dog. "So, is it any good?" Zack asked her, gesturing to her food.

Taking some bites of the brezel and a sip of sode every now and then she really enjoed her choice and food. Actually when has been the last time again she ate a brezel? "Yes, thank you. Even makes me feel european somehow." She replied with a chuckle.

"If you say so," Zack laughed. He took another drink from his soda. As long as she liked what she got, he supposed. "At least the food here is good. It sucked in the miltary."

"Dawh poor Zacky." She replied, honestly meaning it. "Well at least now you´re here and I really do hope you will even stay."

"I'm staying." Zack assured her. "I mean I was already discharged from the marines. Not much else I can do, you know?" His choices were limited and by becoming a UN agent, he felt that would help him make the most change.

"Good! It surely wouldn´t have been the same without you." She said while enjoying her food bit by bit. "Hmmm I see. But I´m sure there would be still options."

"Not the kind of options that make a change. Do you really see me in politics or running for any sort of office? I want to make a change, Astrid. Be the hero." Zack said. "Even if no one knows it was me." He always wanted to be the hero. He always jumped in whenever anyone was in the slightest bit of danger - from someone else or themselves.

"But there are so many options in life, and enough possibilities to be play or really be the hero. However it might be only for minor things though. For example you could work with children or seniors or sick people."

"Point taken but that just isn't for me." Zack said. "What about you, Astrid, why are you here?"

"Well I want to make use of my uhm gift and I sorta ran out of ways to properly improve so yeah. End of the story." She replied shortly as there really wasn´t too much to say for her.

"Astrid," Zack said, preparing a lecture because her family probably didn't know where she was and were worried sick. He bit his tongue. "Okay..." he sighed, since it was his place to preach the moral path for her.

"Zack?" Now that surely made her raise an eyebrow. He wouldn´t wanna try to like lecture her would he?
