Hidden Talents [Remi]

He hummed in content, running his fingers thrguh her ahir gently when she snuggle dup agaisnt his chest. This was nice, comfortable. He didn't midn staying like this for a while. "I'm just being me, blondie," he smiled, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "That's more than enough to piss anyone off. Ask around and you'll see."

"I'm sure I don't need to ask anyone about it. I experience it firsthand." She murmured to him, closing her eyes. His fingers through her hair felt nice. Remi opened her eyes, something crossing her mind. "Will you ever tell me about her?" She knew that Reno's mom was his version of Ashley to a much greater extreme, and she knew she couldn't understand what it felt like. He didn't have to tell her what it was like but she'd like to know what his mom was like.

Unlike the other times Remi brought her up, Reno didn't tense up or anything, but stays completely calm, not even flinching at the harsh reminder of someone he rather not think back on. "Why do you want to know so bad?" he asked instead softly, his other hand caressing her back now instead. "...well, guess I could say I got my wacky side from her," he added after a moment, laughing a bit at that.

"Because you loved her a lot." She murmured to him. She wanted to know what she was like that Reno loved her so very much. "Wacky?" Remi repeated, peeking up at him. "If you really don’t want to I won’t keep asking...I just thought I would try." She didn’t want to push him like she had in the past, but she had to admit she was really, really curious.

Reno frowned a bit at this, not in anger or beacuse he was about to shut down like before, but a bit confused. Well of course he loved her.... it's his mother. A child normally loved their mothers after all, beign broguth up in the slums or not, or living a less than considerd good life.
"And here you said you weren't pushy," he sighed, givng her a small smile. "What would you like to know about her then?"

I said I didn't have to push too hard.. Remi thought arrogantly to herself but decided not to. She shrugged, "Anything." She trailed her fingers down his chest. "It doesn't matter to me." She was surprised when he didn't close up and push her away, she fully expected it but maybe he was finally becoming comfortable around her...or something. "It doesn't have to be a lot."

He hummed to himself, leaning his head back against the chair and closing his eyes for a moment, his hand still gently running up and down Remi's the back. "She was always trying to make something good out of everything, tried to find something in our daily and shitty life to enjoy herself with. She had a weird sense of humor, liked to make up stories..." a small smile made it's way to his lips. "But she was always in pain, depressed... Dependant on medication and drugs. As much as she tried to hide it, it was obvious she suffered." He trailed off for a moment, straing aimlessly up at the ceiling. "I was an accident," he said, voice void of emotion. "At seventeen she got pregnant, got thrown out by her parents and taken in by my old man, who barely ahd enough money to support himself with. Right before givin birth, she was in a car accident, and was left paralyzed at the waist down since then. I survived, 'miraculously'," he snorted dryly. "But my twin brother didn't."
He sighed and straighten up a bit, looking down at Remi with a small smile again. "She nagged a whole lot," he smirked. "Her main concern being me finishin up school and so I could make something out of myself, something her and dad didn't accomplish with." Leaning forward, he stole a quick kiss from the blonde. "Is that enough for now?"

Remi listened to Reno's story just as he had listened to hers. She couldn't help but feel sadness at the mention of the drugs, or he being an accident, and about his twin brother. To think, a second Reno. Remi held onto Reno's neck as he straightened up so that she didn't fall. His mother sounded lovely, and sad. Remi can't help but chuckle fondly at the mention of nagging. Remi was taken by surprise by the quick kiss he gave her. She looked up at him, raising a hand to his cheek and nodding slowly. "Mm-hmm." She hummed, "She'd be proud of you...and I suppose since I'm still your 'acting mother'," She rolled her eyes as she said it, having regretted when she'd said when they first met now. "I have to say I'm proud of you too." She gave him a kiss, longer than the one he'd given her and nodded again. "It's enough. Unless you w to keep going." Which Remi didn't think he did but maybe he would change his mind.

I know for a fact she's not proud, Reno thought to himself, hiding his true thoughts and feelings about the whole thing behind that typical smirk of his. At least, hearing Remy speak so kindly to him helped lifting up his mood. "Well then, guess that concludes our story time in this case," he snickered, deciding that yes, he's talked more than enough about his past already. Leaning in stealing yet naother kiss, just like the one Remi gave him, he gently pulled her off his lap and stood up, wordlessly begining to clean up and bring the dishes to the sink. "This was nice. I wouldn't mind doing this more often."

Remi returned his kiss and stood up when he did. "I think you should," She said. "You keep everything to yourself all the time...we both do. Thanks for listening...and for sharing." She had to admit she felt a lot better since she shared. She grinned at him and gave him a hug, "Are you cooking again later?" Remi cocked her head to the side at him. She definitely would be present and accounted for if he did...if it were vegan, if it wasn't then oh well. "If not then - oh wait, I don't have your phone number." She dug in her pocket for her cell phone. "I have one now." She tolled her eyes and offered it to him, "Go on,"

"...you're welcome I guess," he snorted, already washing off the dishies. He was more than happy to litsen of course, but maybe not so keen on sharing. But he gotta admit, it did feel a bit better, now that Remi knows a bit more about him without judging. Glacning over his shoulderas she mentioned something about his phone number, he smiled a bit at the blonde while drying off his hands, and then taking the phone. "Ya sure you know how to use this?" he teased, giving it back after putting in his number quickly.

Remi scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "Not having one in possession is not the same thing as being technologically inept. And I’m neither." He wasn’t the first person who's said something like that to her before. Not to mention Tadashi was always trying to give her hands on tutorials of everything she had. It wasn't as if she used that stuff much anyway. She accepted her phone with a beam, "Thank you." She got on her toes and kissed his cheek. "See ya." Remi said, so accustomed to Reno saying it to we she'd now begun to say it.
