Hidden Talents [Remi]

Remi held onto Reno tighter when he finally put an arm around her. She relaxed when he did that, she was expecting him to make her let go. "I get afraid when you don’t say anything." She admitted quietly, and she did. She wasn’t good at reading his mind like he was at reading hers. When he got quiet she thought it meant that he was mad at her. "Because it makes me worry you won’t say anything at all..." Ever again. Remi held onto him tighter and hid her face in his chest. She wanted to tell him that he could trust her, that he could talk to her too again but...she knew how afraid he was that she'd be afraid of him. Maybe one day they could get past that, and he could tell her. Until that day came, and hopefully it would, then she could wait. Remi sighed but she didn’t let go of him. She briefly considered telling him about...no, she hadn’t talked about that before. She wasn’t sure that she would either. Settling for hugging him was a good thing too. Remi looked up at Reno, wondering how much longer he'd keep his eyes from hers. "Hey," She murmured to him. "It’s okay." Remi leaned up and kissed his cheek.

It wasn't until he felt her place a sot kiss on cheek that he bothered to open his eyes again, and slowly turns his head to look back at her. He didn't appear to be so upset anymore, nor angry or anything like that either. He looked more tired than anything right then. A small chuckle escaped his lips at her words, leaning his head forward unto he heard his forehead resting against her shoulder instead. "Yeah, I guess things are ok," he murmured. "At least right now. Let's keep it that way for now, 'kay?"
Why ruining this moment they had any further? Sure, if Remi decided to ask him mre about him or his life in general, Reno might as well share something. Especially after Rome had been so open to him, but... still. That didn't mean Reno was happy to do so.

She gave him a smile when he looked at her again, looking exhausted. Remi blinked at him. That was his nonchalant way of hinting that she shouldn't mention it again right now. Remi nodded, running her fingers through his hair when he laid on her shoulder. "We'll be okay." She agreed, resting her head on top of his. "I miss her." Remi whispered, her thought drifting back to her sister. "She was the only person I know that couldn't stand Tadashi." She smiled. "I think you would've gotten along." Remi sighed, deciding that she was done sharing for the time being. This felt nice, not being at each other's throats, or arguing.

A content sigh left is lips when eh felt her figners run through his eyes, his eyes fluttrign shut once again. Seriously, one could easily put him sleep by just that, or give him a gentle head massage and he'll be good as gone in a couple of minutes. Remi's hands felt nice, warm and soothing, but that was really of no surpise.
He couldn't help but snort a bit when heard hwo Ahsely was one of the few who couldn't stand the pup. Had this been a couple of years before, then Reno might've not been able to stand the guy either. Now he went out of his way to keep the shy male content at least. "I wouldn't have minded meeting her," he murmured, glancing up at her face. "...makes me wonder how it is to have siblings..."

Remi shrugged. "It's lovely. They're troublesome and they get in the way and sometimes you can't stand them but...you realize how lucky you are to have someone like that." She looked down at Reno, "Like Tadashi. He's like your little brother." Especially the way she'd seen the two interact with each other. The only thing separating those two was blood. "It makes me jealous." She admitted. Remi had to say that she got jealous with how affectionate the two were with each other. It made her feel a bit inadequate if she had to be honest. She'd started to feel like Tadashi trusted Reno more than her, and that was just unfair. She smiled playfully down at him. "You're his first male friend, so he trusts you a lot. That's what it's like."

This perked the redhead's interest a bit, as he pulled his head away to get a good look at her face again. Him and Tadashi, acting like brothers? Huh. That thought had honestly never crossed his mind until now. He knew Tadashi never had any other male friends, that had been way to easy to figure out. But.. 'little brother'. Guess that made sense, in a way. He loved to tease the guy, but at the same time he felt overprotective over him.
"Jealous?" he chuckled, grinning smugly at the girl and pulled her onto his lap. "No need for you to be jealous of our guy love," he assured a bit amused, wrapping both his arms around her again, now in a sudden cuddling mood. "I could never replace you Remi. No one could. Especially the place you have in the pup's heart."

"If you say so." She huffed as he pulled her onto his lap. She was still a bit jealous of course. Remi rested her head on Reno's shoulder. But if Reno said so, then she'd believe it for now. Remi smiled at Reno, "I remember how intimidated he was by you." Looking back, it was really funny to think about. "I guess your presence was too much for him." She looked up at Reno's eyes curiously. A question bubbling in her mind but she decided not to ask it. Not that it was specifically bad or anything, she was sure people asked it all of the time but she decided not to. She leaned up and pressed her lips to his, pulling him close and deepening the kiss before she pulled back. "Just felt like doing that." She murmured with a mischevious smirk.

Reno snorted, recalling their first meeting all too clearly. "Yeah, I was definitely 'scary' at first," he joked. And the funny thing, even if Tadashi was obviously intimidated by him, he had still went up and offered him a pc, without wanting anything in return. That still just didn't sat to well with him. Feeling her eyes upon him, he looked down as well, only to be met by her lips upon his. He didn't react, but let her do it nonetheless without any complaint. "Did ya now," he smirked back, carresing her cheek. "So, anything you wanted to ask me?" he deadpanned knowingly.

"Mm-hmm." She hummed, only to give him a look of disbelief when he asked her if she had something to ask. How did he do that? Remi pouted, "How do you always know what’s on my mind? Am I that bad of an actress?" She demanded. She surely was no good at reading what was on his mind, but he'd probably had lots of practice with that. Still! It didn’t explain how he could read her mind like it was a superpower! "It’s nothing to worry about. I thought about asking it but I decided not to. It’s not bad, I’m just not going to ask it anymore." Remi explained, putting her head on his shoulder again and playing with one of his hands. Though she sort of had the feeling that he would ask her about it until she said it.

"I don't," Reno responed back shortly, grinning teasingly at her. "I just guess, and you always give yourself away. Not my fault you're so easy to read," he winked, placing a soft kiss on her forehead while chuckling a bit in amusmet. To be fair, he might've had enough practice on how to read people on his life before. In his line of work, it was more than useful and neccesary most of the time. He quirked an eyebrow when she dissmied her own question again. "Then I'll just do what you're so good at, and keep pushing until you spill whatever it is you have on your mind," he smirked.

Remi rolled her eyes at him. Maybe she should start working on a poker face... She gave Reno a dirty look at his mention of her pushing. "For the record, I never have to push too hard because you always give in. You can’t blame it all on me. You’re the one with the soft spot." She grinned deviously up at him. Remi looked up at him, "It’s really nothing, Reno." And it really was. "Buuut if you wanna know so badly, I guess I can tell you." She grinned. "I was just going to ask why you’re always wearing goggles." She tapped the front of one of the lenses with her finger. "You never take them off." She turned her body so that she was straddling him, looking into his eyes. "Did someone give them to you?"

He didn't seem that offended at her dirty look, or when she made a fair point. All he did was give a lazy shrugg, the grin not flattering a bit. "So I ain't completely heartless, what do you know," he just snickerd, his hands autmaticlly moving to her hips when she straddled him. And as she finally voiced her question, honest surprsie reflected in his blue eyes, not having been expecting for her to ask about his favourite little 'accessory'."These old things?" he mumbled in thought, moving one hand up to fiddle with them a bit as first now realizing he had them on. He never really gave them much thought to be honest here, but when he did... it always came down to the fact they held more bad memories than good one to him.
"I've no idea myself actually," he said with a small smile, though there wa sno humor behind it. "Guess I grew to attached to them..? I don't know," he shrugged again. "...my old man gave them to me..."

"I know you're not heartless," She murmured to him, not wanting him to believe that he was. Remi was expecting him to be surprised, but she couldn't recall ever seeing him this surprised before. But she was the surprised one when he said that his father gave them to him. "O-Oh..." She said quietly, not that shocked that he kept them. She still held onto something that her mother had given her despite Remi honestly believing that she hates both of her parents. Remi draped her arms onto his shoulders, and smiled at him. "I can't imagine you without them. It would look odd." She paused, "You shouldn't get rid of them either, even if you decide you don't want them anymore." She said quietly. "Though I doubt it."

Another smiel tugged at his lips, half wrapping his arms around her once again when she draped hers over his shoulders. "And why not? I'm quite the cacth without them on as well ya know," he winked playfully, leaning further back into the chair. Of course, Reno knew himself that he'd never get rid of those old things. He's had them since he was 10, and never once tought about getting rid of them. Fwlt weird not having them on.

Remi grinned at Reno "I highly doubt it." She teased. Remi knew that he knew what she meant, and she didn't need him to get all emotional about it either. "You'd look too different without wearing them." She then smiled evilly at him, "Wanna go watch It?" She mocked, laughing at him again. That was truly priceless. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." She quickly said after, giving him a hug. "Would you hate me forever if I ever put on a clown mask for Halloween? Oh, I bet you hate Halloween. People looove dressing up as clowns."

The grin on his face immdeintly fell into an less than pleased pout when she dared to bring up the topic of clowns again. He really made a msitkate letting her know about his little weakness there. "Already regetting tell you that little detial," he whined childishly, giving her warning look at the halloween idea. "Oh shit, you're secretly a sadist at heart, aren't you?" he chuckled, giving her nose a light pinch. "And no I don't hate Halloween. Gives me more reason to play tricks on the 'clowns'," he pouted.

"I won't again, I promise." Remi said between giggles, offering her pinky, "Pinky promise. Except maybe once a year. On Halloween. That's fair, right?" Remi just grinned at his warning look, "A sadist? Secretly? No. You'd like that, wouldn't you?" That would be something he wouldn't let her live down. "I have this feeling that your definition of 'tricks' extends to a cruel and unusual punishment category." She said, planting a short kiss on his cheek. "Don't pout. At least I didn't actually do it." She rolled her eyes, "You're such a drama queen."

As she offered him her pinky, he just gave her a funny look, still not seeing the point of that gesture. The last tme they ahd done that, he had imply humbled her, nothing else. "I don't know the meaning of 'fair'," he joked, sticking his tongue out at her. Instead of accepting the little pinky promise, eh wrapped his hands around her fingers and brought her palm to his mouth, giving it a small kiss. A wicked grin spread across his face. "Maybe," he chuckled mischievously. "I'm a kinky bastard sometimes." He laughed, not gonna deny the about the curle part. But to be fair, he only played tricks on those who went of their ways to scare him. More than often he had reacted by punching the 'clowns' teeth out if they got to close, at least as a kid he did that. "Well duh," he smirked, no shame whatsoever on his face. "Thought that was pretty obvious."

At Reno's comment about fairness, she’s the on who pouts. "I bet you don’t." She mumbled. She watched him carefully as he opened her hand and kissed her palm. Of course she felt touched by the gesture,but this isn’t the first time he’s denied her a pinky promise. He’s only done it once, maybe twice. "Why don’t you ever give me your pinky?" She asked him. Remi scoffed, "Of course you are." She'd hadn’t been with enough people to discover someone who was into kinky stuff, or at least not long enough. "I wouldn’t know if I am or not." She laughed at him for admitting he was dramatic. "You’re not ostentatious if you’re not dramatic." Remi grinned at him. "I kinda like that about you. It makes you not boring."

Reno chuckled under his breath, letting go of her hand right after giving it another small kiss. "You don't need my pinky to make promises. That gestures just seems odd, and for not to talk about unnecessary," he explained nonchalantly. "But that's just my opinion."
A smug grin spread across his face, wrapping one hand behind her head befre pulling her face closer to his, their noses lightly burshing agaisnt each other's. "Glad to know I'm not boring you then. Lcukily, I can say the same to you."

Remi scoffed, "I think it’s because you don’t want to be bound to the promise either." She did too. Maybe Reno had a bad experience with making promises. He didn’t have to but it's be nice if he'd comply even if he didn’t mean it. "But that’s okay." She was taken by surprise when he pulled her in close. "Well good." She murmured quietly. "I like to think that I don’t get boring after a while." She leaned her forehead against his. "So that’s a nice thing to hear." She smiled kindly at him.

"Yeah, maybe that too," Reno mumbled, unbothered if that's what it seemed like or not. Maybe that's what he really felt, unconsciously. There were alot of things he's had a bad experience with, such things as 'promise' perhaps being one of them. However, he had good experiences of them too, Nolan being one of the bigger reasons behind that...
He just smiled warmly at her, the foundess in his eyes evident as their foreheads touched. "With all that nagging you do, it'll be a while before you bore me out," he teased.

"Nagging?" Remi repeated, leaning back from him. "It’s not nagging!" Ashley used to call it nagging too. Except in her case she really need some motherly advice. "And I haven’t even 'nagged' you all day, so it’s not even a valid argument right now!" Remi stopped, "And I don’t consider this to be nagging either, so don’t say it either." She folded her arms across her chest. Why did he have to go and call her mom anyway? Maybe she acted sort of motherly but in her defense the closest people she’s ever been to she’s had to be mothers to. She couldn’t help it anyway.

Reno laughed, lifting one hand up in mock surrender at her protest and obviously less than pleased reaction. "Chill Remi, I'm just playing around," he chuckled, pulling her back into to him, wrapping both his arms around her to make her stay there. "Aside from being easy to read, you're damn easy to annoy as well," he teased, unable to help himself. It should've been obvious by now that Reno loved pulling at other's legs like this. His way of showing affection, as his friend Kim liked to point out before.

Remi glared at him as he told her to chill out. She didn’t move when he pulled her in close and she just huffed at him. "Okay," so what if she overreacted just a bit? He meant it before any other time. She was prepared to say that she doesn’t get annoyed but they both knew that he really annoyed her, so saying it now sort of seemed like a pointless thing to say. Which it was. "Fine..." She snuggled her head into his chest, slipping her arms through his and hugging his midsection. "You really frustrate me and I don’t know why or how you do it."
