She raised a eyebrow in confusion. Why hadn't he showed up for the training at all? "But isn't it important that your trainer can guide you?"

"Guide me? Please. It's a bull that they think they know what it's like to have my powers." Riku replied. "I have perfect control." Or so he claimed at least.

"If you say so," she replied. She didn't want to make a discussion about it. It wasn't her business after all.

"What about you?" Riku asked. "What brought you here?" He could have said any number of things, most of them offensive but he bit his tongue. He wasn't exactly the easiest person to get to know.

"So I could learn more about my powers and also try to get some friends," MK replied. It had taken a while before her parents agreed to let her try out at ELITE. She couldn't blame them, since she just had quit the school and then discovered her power. It was like she was going through the rough time all over again. And so far, no one had bullied her, which she was grateful for.

Riku bit his tongue again. How easy it was to be pessimistic and shatter her expectations of the school. He only saw this place as a three ring circus, because they were all freaks, being paid to do what only freaks could do. Granted this was for the betterment of society, but it made no difference to him. "Right," he grunted. "You do that."

"What brought you here then?" MK asked curious.

"I was bored." Riku replied. And he had been. His living on the streets had been incredibly dull. Not to mention he had pretty much just been living repetitively. Same thing, day in and day out, granted it wasn't exactly the safest line of work or lifestyle for that matter.

"I see," she replied. It was nothing wrong with that was it? She herself admitted that she missed her home and family from time to time, but it was also great here. She got to meet with other persons and got Karissa as a roommate after Penny had left.
