Room C-022: What are friends for? {TAG Reno}

Tadashi was distractedly playing with one of his videogames and, weirdly enough, he kept loosing and loosing. Sure, the game was set on the hardest level, but it had never been a problem for him... what really was the problem, was the fact he just couldn't manage to focus! He felt like he was going mad... He didn't want to talk to Remi about that, and he tried to pretend it wasn't true, but... but... but what? No! But nothing! He just had to focus more on the game, that was all! He had no crush, that was stupid, stupid, stupid! Frowning he tried to kept saying himself he just needed to focus... resulting instead in distracting himself even more and ending up loosing once again the game. He sighed deeply, resting his head in his hands: yup, he was definitely loosing his mind... and then in that moment the door opened: in the split second he turned toward the door to check who it was his heart had already started beating faster and he had already felt a chill through his spine. All reaction that he pretended not to acknowledge as soon as he noticed it was Reno instead. He jumped off the couch, stepping with a smile toward the redhead "Hey R-" he stopped though seeing his expression: was something wrong? Was Reno mad? Tadashi expression went from happy-puppy-running-toward-his-master to scared-puppy-with-his-tail-between-his-legs. "Reno?" he asked uncertain of what to do, uncertain even wether to approach him or not

Thanks to Nolan, Reno wasn't in such furious state anymore, and could at least think clearly instead of lashing out at whoever happend to be closest to him. Still, the anger was obviously there.... along with other emotions he felt stupid for having. He felt hurt, and all beacuse of that motherly and nagging blonde, who he still for some reason had a soft spot for.
He felt more exshausted than anything now as he pushed himslef inside his room, not even taking notice of Tadashi until the male spoke up.
"Oh... hi pup," he mumbled, unable to offer the other a smile, even a small one. Wordlessly he walked past the other and straight inside the bedroom. Kicking off his shoes and pulling off his beloved googles before throwing himself on his bed.

Somethi g was definitely not right with Reno: he didn't stop, he didn't even smile, he didn't claim the couch... he walked straight toward the bedroom and disappeared inside there... Tadashi gulped: what was he supposed to do? He wanted to help Reno, that was obvious, but how could he? Did Reno want him to? Did he even want him around? Or... or would he attack him again? Not like after the nightmare, that wasn't his fault, like after that, when Reno had kinda threatened him... but... no, they were friends, if Reno needed help, he HAD to help... shyly he got into the room and wilently walked by Reno's bed, bending on his knees to look up with his puppy eyes at Reno for a while before asking with a shy low voice "what's wrong?"

Reno's eyes stared blankly at the wall infront of him, taking a couple of seconds before realizing Tadashi had croushed down by his side and asked how he was doing. He did't reply immedntly, just blinked once before turning to lay on his other side, facing away from his roommate. "Just had a rough day, I guess," he mumbled, not wanting to get angry again by thinking about Remi and Cloud, or talk bad about Tadashi's friend either for that matter...

Tadashi blinked twice in surprise when Reno gave him his back, turning away: was he mad at him? He didn't anything wrong... did he? He bit his lower lip, wondering what to do for a moment, and then he stretched a hand to gently poke Reno's back with one finger and childhishly ask "are you mad at me?"

Reno almost tensed up when Tadashi poked him. He wouldn't have bothered replying for sure now either, seeing as he didn't like the idea of laying ot the other and pretend to be fine when he obviously wasn't, but ended up glancing over his shoulder at the silly question.
"Why would I be mad at you for?" he snorted, sitting up and turning back to fully face the other again. "You're hilarious pup, and silly," he chuckled with a small smile, reaching a hand out and patting the other on the head.
The small smile was quickly gone again though, his blue eyes turning shallow. No he wasn't mad at Tadashi, and it was quite hard imaging that he'd ever be. ...the one who he was mad at however...
Was he even mad? He couldn't fucking tell anymore.

Tadashi didn't know what to expect when Reno turned toward him, but the only concern he had now was for his friend. And when Reno asked why would he be mad at him he shrugged shaking his head: he didn't know, but he didn't understand a good part of other people's reactions... but he was at least glad to know Reno wasn't mad at him. He wanted to jump on the bed too and sit next to Reno but he still wasn't sure Reno wasn't in a biting mood, so he remained where he was, crossing his arms on the bed, resting his ching on his arms and looking up at Reno "Can I help you then?" He asked with his usual honest voice, obviously meaning his words

Reno shaked his head slowly, before letting out another deep sigh and laying bak down on the bed, staring blankly up at the ceiling. "I don't know to be honest," he mumbled, turning his head so he could look back at Tadashi again. "But I appreciate the concern pup, so thanks," he managed to smile a bit, poking the other's nose lightly. "Remi's lucky to have ya-" he trailed off once he realised what he just said, and just like that he felt himself starting to get angry again.
He sighed again and looked away, moving his arm up and shield his face from the other's eyes.

Tadashi didn't like much the answer: he frowned lightly, what did he mean 'remi was lucky to have him? "You have me too" he peeped finally deciding to climb on the bed, sitting on his knees next to Reno. "You know you don't have to talk... but if you want... I-I'm here" he renewed the offer he already made once, and once already he showed the other guy he meant his words "You know I won't judge..."

Despite himself, Reno felt himself smile a bit again, allowing a small chuckle to slip past his lips. Of course he knew that... Tadashi was, once again, way to good for his own good... And so much more than what Reno deserved. Partly of the reason he wasn't so keen on telling him the reason to his bad mood, was beacuse of how close he knew he was to Remi. Giving the male reason to get upset was not on his to do list.
"You know what?" he sighed then, lowering his arm from his face and grinning up at his roommate. "I know a way for you to help me." And before giving the other a chance to react, the redhead had wrapped his arms around the smaller's waist and pulled him down to lay beside him. "Cuddle time~!"

When Reno mentioned that there was a way to help him, finally looking at him and grinning in a more Reno-like way, Tadashi looked at him with an expression that more or less meant 'I'm ready to do anything'. Judging by his look, it looked like he would have jumped off a cliff if Reno had asked for that! But then, out of nowhere, he felt the redhead's arms wrapping his waist and pulling him down "Nyaaa!" he couldn't help but scream a bit in surprise, not exactly understanding on the spot what was happening. Only when he found himself laying in Reno's arms and when the guy clarified his intention Tadashi finally understood: ok, he could do that! He fixed himself better in Reno's arms, cuddling up in his arms, and hugged the guy's neck. Now probably the scene would have looked weird to anyone else, but to him... he was just behaving with him as he was used to behave with his female friends, and his female friends were used to see him more like a puppy than a guy as well. So cuddling in bed, with a girl or even with a boy, to him was nothing suspicious.

If this looked weird to someone else, Reno didn't care. Afterall, they weren't doing anythying besides cuddling, and the redhead always secretly yeared for it when depressed, no matter how scary some might take him for. He wasn't that scary looking was he? Well.... Nolan certianly didn't think that, but that guy was pretty much messed up too.
"You sound like a kitten," he chuckled, making himself comfortable in their current positon, leaning his chin ontop of Tadashi's head. This felt nice... and somehow made him a little bit less upset. A little....

"Didn't you say I was a puppy? And then a bunny too?" he asked nuzzling against Reno's chest, honestly more surprised to receive yet another comparison to an animal than upset. It was at least used from before to be called puppy, even Remi did that now and then and all his female friends had called him such at least once. But bunny and kitten... those were new... was he becoming a one-man-zoo??? Well, it didn't matter too much, what it mattered now was to cheer up Reno.
"Do you want some ice cream?" he asked, knowing this was usually what managed to cheer him up, but still not letting go the male, still staying hugged to him...

"You are a puppy!" Reno insisted cheerfully, nuzzling the male's head as if he really was one. "Nolan was the one who called you a Bunny, although I don't disagree with him either," he added as an afterthought, chuckling at the thought. Seriously, you could name this gy after every cuddly and cute pet there was.
"Ice cream?" he mumbled in thought at the offer, shaking his head. "No thanks, I'm to upset to eat," he sighed childhisly. He wasn't such a big fan of the sweet treat anyway, and funnily enough, especilly not when he was in a poor mood.

"Reno stop! You're tickling me!" Tadashi complained chuckling for the tickle as the male nuzzled his hair, instinctively moving in the redhead's arms, not even thinking that maybe revealing how ticklish he was to the guy could become quite a 'problem' to him... beside, it wasn't like he had much of a choice! As Reno refused the ice cream he frowned a bit: dang, that was his best solution to problems! It was what his mom gave him when he was a child after he had a nightmare... if ice cream couldn't solve a problem... well then it must be a pretty serious problem... He hugged Reno tighter: he didn't want to bug him and keep asking him stuffs, it was unusual for him even asking once, but he only hoped the guy knew he was there if he felt the need to talk... No matter how heavy the subject was, he could take it...

Reno glanced down at the smaller male he tighted the hug, chuckling foundly at him. If he had to guess, apparently refusing ice cream meant this was serious. WHich, ok, maybe it was. But Reno didn't want to make a bigger deal of it than he already had... as much as drama was fun to watch play out amongs other people, the redhead didn't like being the middle of it. It was much more enjoying watching it from the sidelines.
"Chill puppy, there's really no reason for ya to worry," he reassured. "It doesn't matter now anyway...."

"Mhm..." he nodded at his words, but still not really totally convinced by them: if that wasn't a big deal, what would Reno be acting like that? But he didn't want to upset him more so he just stayed quiet. He just wanted to help... sometimes he wished he was socially smarter! He had nothing to complaing about his intelligence when it was about technology and study and science... he was smart there, he got stuffs, but when it came to people... no, no there his brain just didn't work in the same way as the others. With a sigh he wriggled away from the hug and sat up on Reno, after all he was well aware he was quite light, and it was more than evident that any fear he ever felt toward Reno was now gone. Sure, he was still intimidated when the guy was upset, but that was something Reno had in common with everyone else... in Tadashi's eyes, Reno wasn't scary anymore. So he had nothing to fear when he sat up on him childishly asking him "What can I do to cheer you up?" Well... they did cuddle enough... didn't they?

Reno allowed the other to wriggle his way out of the hug, thinking that he may had enough of it, but instead only moved to stip atop of him. Oh man, yet another position that would look wrong and not-so-innocnet to whoever would walk in on them. That thought just made Reno more amused by it.
"I already told you, stop worrying about it," he said again, now starting to frown himself. He was still in a ba mood afterall. Not that he'd get mad at Tadashi, but keeping up a smile for him was a little to much for the readhed to musste rup at the moment.

"I don't care about it, it's fine if you don't wanna talk, but I do care about you" he replied stubbornly, tilting his head and staring at Reno. He did try his best not to show his concern, since it seemed like that didn't please Reno, but it was still evident on his face. But was it so wrong he wanted to help? Was it so wrong he cared for him?

Now he defnetily couldn't keep up a fake smile. As coldhearted or uncaring some had made him out to be (and to be fair, most of the time those accusations was nothing but true), Reno actually felt touched by his roommate's words. Yeah sure, it wasn't exactly ahrd to see the guy saw him as a friend, even after that little episode of nightmares and strangeling... Still, it was nice to hear it, for once...
"Aw man," he sighed, rubbing his forehead. Now he felt guilty for not telling Dashi what happend. Mostly beacuse it had to do with the guy's close friend. "I can't lie to that face," he chuckled, reaching up and pinching Tadashi's cheek lightly. His smile faded again as he let his hand fall back down to the matress. "...me and Remi had a fight," he murmured. "And I said some nasty things to her, but..." But what? Did Reno have the right to try and excuse himself for that? "...yeah. That's pretty much it."

He could easily see Reno's smile fade away, which made him wonder if he had simply talked too much, but before he could say anything else to try to remedy to that, Reno sighed, rubbing his own face before he stretched a hand to pinch his cheek. Tadashi stayed quiet, he just closed one eye as a reaction to the light pain, seeing Reno's smile fade once again. And then Reno said how he had had a fight with Remi. Tadashi's eyes widened while a thousand alarms rang into his head. He didn't move from where he was, on top of Reno, and he didn't even seem mad, just... really worried. For a moment. Clenching his fists, Tadashi forced himself to relax: with his power, without even moving it from the table in the other room where it was, he sent a message from his phone to Remi "Hey Remi, talking to Reno, you ok? Please let me know!~" then, with a serious but calmer expression he asked to Reno "Why did you do that?" then, after a moment of silence he felt the need to add as well "You can tell me Reno, I'm not mad." he felt like saying that since Reno had been saying all those weird stuffs on how 'Remi had him' so... he wanted him to know that he cherished their friendship too... beside, having had many female friends since school, he had had to deal with 'similar situations', in which his friends split up and fought with each others. He used to cry a lot and suffer for such things when he was younger, but in the end he learnt how to deal with these kind of situation, managing to keep his friendship with both friends. Sure, it felt like being the kids of a divorced couple... but he did manage to get through that and in the end it was a good 'life-training'...

While Reno might have suspected that Tadashi wouldn't get that mad at him, him being upset about this was of no surprise either. To be honest, Reno still would've prefered for his roommate to get angry and just flat out yell at him and leave, instead of being so damn understanding. He still didn't know how to handle that. He sighed softly at the other's question, closing his eyes, slowly opening them again as the other reassured that he wasn't mad. "Guess I was jealous," he said nonchalantly, shrugging a it like he usually did about stuff that didn't bother him. But this did bother him, of course, he has just calmed down enough at this point. "But all I said to them... her, was true," he mumbled, glancing away, something in his eyes darkened. "...I'm not really sure myself pup. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, along with all those nightmares I've been having lately. I did something stupid and it can't be undone."
The redhead now said all this with that typical smirk of his, as if everything was alright again and he hasn't upset anymore. "But, if she ever feels like coming over here, let me know beforehand and I'll be out of your way."

Jealous? Jealous of what? Why jealous? Tadashi tilted his head, puzzled. He had to bite his lower lip and force himself to stay quiet: he had no idea what Reno had exactly said to Remi, but as much as he wanted to defend her, he knew by experience it would have made no good. Reno wouldn't have changed idea and Remi wouldn't have thanked him, everyone would have just been more upset, and that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted both Reno and Remi to be ok... He leaned forward and, still sitting on Reno (after all, he didn't even weight much so surely enough he wasn't bothering Reno now) he hugged him again. About the visits, he was sure it wasn't a problem: he was ready to bet Remi wouldn't want to come over now, after the fight... it was just up to him go to her... but what could he do now to cheer Reno up? There had to be a way! His way was ice cream and videogames... but what could Reno's way be? "Hey, would you like to watch some movies? I can make pop corns..." he offered, hoping that this would make him smile

Reno chuckled a bit when Tadashi wrapped his arms around him once more, happily returning the hug and patting the to othe ron the back as if trying to comfort him instead. Reno would be upset for a while more, he knew that. But at leats he wasn't on any killing spree any more. And he knew how to ignore it, and act like he always did without problem.
He sighed a bit at Tadashi's suggestion, knowing the guy was trying to come up still of some ways to cheer him up. "Movies sounds great," he smiled. "As do the popcorns."

As Reno agreed to the movie Tadashi smiled fondly, breaking the hug once again, and jumped off the guy and off the bed, taking then the redhead's hand and start pulling on it in a quite childish way "Come on then! Let's go on the sofa!"
