C-001: Ice cream break! {TAG Remi}

Ok so, with the starting of the training and all Tadashi had quite some busy days and he didn't manage to spend much time with Remi: he had been mainly busy studying and training, and when he had some free time he was too tired to do anything but throw himself on a sofa and either sleep or play some videogames... and still, some things had happened in the last few days: he had gone on his first date, he had given his first kiss... and just a little time he had found Reno and Nolan... no, just the memory made him blush again a bit, no, he had to stop thinking about that. He didn't want to think about that, especially since he and Reno where now good friends. And he didn't have time to tell Remi any of those stuffs... even if he wasn't sure if he really wanted to tell her... and then there was the way his heart had started beating when... but no, no! No, he just wanted to spend some nice time with Remi, eat some ice cream with her and hear what she had been doing! He had brought the soy sandwich ice cream she liked so much and, once he was in front of her door, he knocked, hoping she and not one of her roommates would open the door...

Remi was sitting on the couch reading a book she'd read at least a million times: A Tale of Two Cities. It was her favorite book and she'd always found a huge fascination in the French Revolution. She put it down on the table and approached the door when it knocked? Who could it be? Cloud maybe? Or...definitely not him. Remi opened the door and grinned wide at her best friend. "Tadashi!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck. She hadn't seen him such a long time...and that was so uncommon for them. "Come in." She hauled him inside by his arm and closed the door.

As Remi opened the door he felt actually a wave of relief: not like he didn't like her roommates, but... he didn't really feel comfortable around them... As she hugged him he hugged her back, a wide smile on his lips. He followed her inside and, as she closed the door behind them, he showed the box of icecream sandwiches "I brought ice cream" I said with a sheepish smile, hoping she had time to chit-shat with him like they used to and just relax eating some ice cream

Remi almost squealed at the sight of the ice cream sandwiches. She was happy her roommates weren't around. They were so tough and tomboy and cool she felt too soft around them. "Yay!" She took the box and collapsed onto the couch, patting one side, "Come on, sit down." She opened the box and retrieved one for herself and one for Tadashi, offering it to him. "It's bee forever since I've seen you. Tell me what's going on with you?" She had some things to tell him herself.

Tadashi was so happy to see her reaction and didn't wait for her to ask again: as she patted on the couch he jumped by her side, cuddling up next to her, resting his head on her shoulder while taking the icecream she was offering. For the first time... if felt a bit weird: in the last few days he had gotten used to cuddle up against Flynn or Reno, who were so much bigger than Remi was, cuddling up against Remi felt so familiar now but also weird on the spot... "Ah..." her question put him in difficulty: was he supposed to say about... about the date? Xion? the kiss? Reno and... or how his heart... NO! nonono! "W-why don't you tell me? A-about you?" he usually didn't have much going on, most of the time he would just tell her about his videogames and listen about her stuffs, so he was more used to listen than to tell...

Remi bit into her ice cream sandwich, expecting Tadashi to speak first, but he instead suggested for her to go first. That was typical Tadashi, or he didn't have much to talk about. "Well..." Where did she start? Remi sighed, "Well I...I thought that maybe Reno and I would...well I just..." She sighed heavily again. "I like him, er, liked him. But he doesn't want me around because of...something he told me. But! I met a guy," She grinned wide at him. "Cloud. He's...pretty great." When she thought about him, she thought about all of the sex they were having, and that was too much for Tadashi probably.

Reno... She... SHE AND RENO? WAIT WHAT??? B-but... Reno... Reno... the images of he and the other guy on the couch popped unwanted in his mind, making him blush strongly. Should... should he tell her? Ok, before that, could he tell her? Could he even manage to put that into words? ...probably no. "uh? W-who's Cloud?" he asked lifting his head to look at her, curious, tilting his head

Who's Cloud? "Cloud? Uh..." Remi pauses. "Cloud is a really cool guy...he's tall and strong and nice and he smiles a lot and he's always giving me compliments and giving me amazing-" Remi stopped, her eyes flicking to Tadashi as she finishes her last bite of the ice cream sandwich. "...He's a good guy." She said quietly. "I really like him." Her mind drifted again. But she liked Reno more...

Tadashi listened to her quietly, nibbling on his ice cream sandwich. He was naive, but even him could guess, more or less, that she liked-liked the guy... so... would she be feeling all weird around him now? Like h- no, no, no! He had to stop thinking that! "So, uhm... d-does your heart beat faster when you are with him? And d-do you have butterflies in your stomach?" he asked shyly: usually he wouldn't even go close to such subjects: he would listen to her, but he wouldn't ask, especially not such specific questions...

Remi paused the unwrapping of another ice cream sandwich. Butterflies in her stomach? Of course...maybe not as many as... "Yes." She nodded before a thought clicked in her mind. "...Tadashi? Does something like that happen to you recently?" She couldn't recall Tadashi ever having a crush on someone. Or asking these questions...

As she replied, he wondered why he even wanted to know: did he wanted to know if that was actually true? If it actually happened to other people? What exactly? He didn't know, but as soon as she asked he couldn't help but blush as a cherry and shake vigorously his head in a silent 'no'... which was a lie, obviously, but he didn't want to tell her everything... he wasn't sure himself what was going on...

Remi sat up, looking at Tadashi. Tadashi was behaving strangely. He was shy, even timid, but not...secretive. Not with her at least. "Tadashi, is something going on?" She asked him solemnly. "You're...is there something you need to tell me?"

Tadashi swallowed his last bite of ice cream, his cheeks still totally red. What was he supposed to say? He... he didn't know... He frowned: he could tell her about the date, but it ended up so badly and he didn't want Remi to tease him! He had been teased enough!!! And still and yet... Remi wasn't going to give up, he knew her, and he didn't want to share things he didn't understand himself... "I-I went on a date..." he peeped shyly, but from his tone it looked more like he had gone to a funeral

Remi almost choked on her ice cream. She scrambled up to a sitting position with her feet under her. She took Tadashi's face in her hands. "Tadashi!" She almost felt betrayed, no, she felt betrayed! He told her everything. And she told him! Why didn't he call her on the phone that he bought her?! "Why didn't you tell me? Are you kidding? Who was it with? How did it go?"

Tadashi had expected her to react in a somehow excessive way but this didn't stop him from blush stronger and look down, looking even more embarrassed and in distress: that almost made him regret coming... of course he shared everything with Remi, but he never did anything that made him uncomfortable, the uncomfortable stuffs were in his past and well, his attitude toward them was just pretending they never existed, never mentioning them. Even Remi knew only little things about his past before he was adopted or connected to his biological family, he just didn't feel like telling, not cause he didn't trust Remi but because talking about such was painful to him. More or less the same thing that was going on now, just that this was quite a new situation... He didn't want to make her feel left out, she was sharing her life after all, but... this was so hard... with a deep sigh he rested his face on her shoulder, hiding it, and only then he started talking in a low voice "He-her name... is Xion... I-I k-kissed her.." he managed to stutter lowly "b-but it didn't go well... her brother almost beat me... a-and I ran away..."

Remi held her breath when Tadashi put his face in her shoulder. When Tadashi did that while they were talking it was always something embarrassing or serious because he would never look her in the eye. Did the girl reject him? That would just be cruel! No one would do that to Tadashi...would they? Remi grinned and almost started exclaiming kudos when Tadashi said he kissed the girl named Xion...but then he kept talking. "Awwwe, Tadashi!" Remi threw her arms around him. Now that just wasn’t fair! Couldn’t he ever get a break? "I’m sorry." She kissed his head. "Other than that did the date go well? Do you like her?"

Still without looking at her, he shook his head: no. No the date didn't go well and no he didn't like her. "She's nice, we played videogames... she's good..." it was like he wanted to justify her, but... no, everything he had done on that date had been cause he had felt like he had to (beside playing videogames, if just that hadn't been a date, that would have been just splendind. Spending time like that, with such a great videogamer... but no!) And he didn't feel anything except sympathy toward the girl: his heard didn't beat faster, he didn't feel especially curious about her, he didn't feel butterflies in his stomach... unlike it happened with F-NO! As his mind drifted toward those thoughts he instinctively grabbed Remi's shirt. He had to find a way to stop thinking about all this...

They played videogames? She’s good? That’s it? Something clearly didn’t happen that was favorable for a date besides the brother wanting to beat him up thing. Well, she wasn’t the right girl for him, and it was his first date. Sometime they don’t go well. It wasn't his fault. But why didn’t he have any more to say about it? "Is there..." Remi paused, watching Tadashi as he held onto her shirt. "Something else you want to tell me?...or don’t want to..?" She smiled despite Tadashi not even looking at her.

After a moment he shook his head: no no no... No, he just didn't want to talk about it, cause talking meant acknowledging that something was happening and no, nothing was happening, so there was nothing to talk about. No, nope, not at all, nothing. If his heart was beating faster maybe he just had to see a Baymax. Ah ah. Surely there was no particoular reason for that, the only thought was just riddiculous, simply riddicoulous...

Remi sighed again, giving Tadashi an unpleasant expression. "Tadashi..." Obviously something was going on with him, he wouldn’t even tell her what it was for crying out loud! "If nothing is going on, then why haven’t you said anything? And, why are you holding onto me like you’re embarrassed?" Tadashi was clingy and cuddly for the most part, but this was a lot, even for him. Something definitely happened. She offhandedly wondered if Tadashi's mother knew anything. But then if she didn’t, then asking something would definitely freak her out. "Tell me what happened!" She whined. "Was it something else with Xion?"

Now that was one of those times when he would have gladly exchanged his telekinesis for the power of disappearing, just like that... cause what could he say now? There was no way out, none that he could find, and he just didn't want to talk about... about that thing... and... and how could she tell her he didn't want to talk? That would just mean that there was something so she would just keep asking! What could he do??? "I saw Reno half-naked with another man on the couch!" he exclaimed before he could realise it himself, blushing like a cherry immediately after. Well... at least this was a way not to talk about 'that'... wasn't it?

Remi blinked. Once or twice, or, maybe more than that. She leaned back a bit while the information processed in her mind. Reno? Was he..? Well he surely didn’t behave homosexual. Maybe he was bisexual..or maybe just horny? Either way, it was a shock that made her heart sink a bit. She didn’t think any less of him, she just...what? Remi looked at Tadashi. The poor thing! "Oh, Tadashi!" She hugged him. Tadashi was way too innocent for the sight of sexual obscenities. He was probably traumatized! Did he apologize at least? Remi truly had no words for that, it was definitely a new adventure that Tadashi had stumbled upon.

Remi's reaction was more or less what he expected it to be, even if Tadashi had no idea what was the actual relationship between Remi and Reno, he had guessed from that interrupted kiss that between the two of them there might have been more than simple friendship... but... that wasn't any of his business now, was it? When Remi hugged him, he took advantage of that and hid his face again: he felt awful lying to Remi like this... but... he wasn't even really lying, it was just... if he couldn't figure out himself what he was feeling and thinking, how could he share those thoughts with someone else?

Remi sighed heavily. Tadashi's shyness was one thing, but he always seemed to find himself in the worst situations! The most embarrassing ones at that. If he wasn't afraid enough as it was. Tadashi could never get a break. He was a magnet for stressful situations. "Was that all? Was there more to the story?" Remi wasn't expecting that Tadashi was hiding something from her; he typically didn't and it always made her feel at ease. So now wasn't any different. He did like to skimp on details though that tended to be quite important, so she had to watch out for those.

Tadashi nodded: yup, that was all... it had to be all, it must be all! Surely he wouldn't start giving details about what he saw... even just bringing once again the subject was giving him the chills, but at least he had managed to avoid talking about that... that other something else... nononononoNO! There was nothing else, everything was perfectly fine, he wasn't saying anything to Remi cause there was nothing to say, that was it! "S-so... ho-how's Cloud?" he asked shyly, thinking she might want to talk about it and really wanting to move the discussion back on her. Meanwhile, he broke the hug and bent toward the ice cream box to take a new sandwich, from which he immediately took a bite...
