Sweat & Heat [TAG: Rosetta]

Daniel skipped off the threadmill and grabbed his towel that had been conveniently placed over the apparatus during his workout. He was not out of breath, as he was in a rather good shape. However, the sweat and the heat was beginning to get to him, and he felt the need to refill his water bottle. In an attempt to cool down, Daniel lifted his tank top, revealing the muscular, toned upper body beneath, and wiped the glistening sweat off with his towel. Then he drank the last sips of his water and leaned towards the machine for a break.
Looking around there were many more apparatuses he would like to try, but that might have to wait for another time. There would always be time tomorrow to test the explosive muscles in his arms. For now he was considering calling it a day.
Wiping the sweat off his forehead, Daniel looked around, noticing not for the first time that day, a female agent looking his way. He was unsure of what she wanted, but it made him nervous. It had been a long time since he enjoyed the company of women, and he preferred it this way. It made everything so much easier if they could simply stay away. This just gave him yet another reason to leave the gym early.

Rosetta had spent now a couple of hours in the gym: she enjoyed physical exercise, even though she didn't like push her limits like many other people did, she just did it for fun and to keep herself in shape. She had ran on the threadmill for a while, done some sits-up and some exercises for her thighs, and after that she had decided she had had enough and had taken a shower in the changing room. Now she was once again fresh and fragrant, and was wearing a nice pink dress, but she still decided not to leave the gym so early: she had noticed a quite charming guy exercising in there and she was quite interested in seeing for how much longer he intended to continue... and what he was planning to do after that.
As she went back to the gym, she took notice of the guy removing his shirt, giving her quite the show: she bit her thumb with a satisfied smile. Now that was something nice... It was then that she noticed that the poor thing had finished all his water... well, she had a bottle of juice still completely full.... should she share? Before she could even move, he turned toward her, noticing her. Well, that made things easier: with a brilliant smile she approached him, recovering her bottle and handing it over to him "Looks like you're quite thirsty..."

Daniel's fears had taken form, and their form was that of the woman in front of him. Being a perfect gentleman, he would never turn her away. However, his mind was seeking escape routes or ways of conversation that would let her know he was not an available man. He never would be. To anyone. The thought saddened him, but it was better this way, and he knew it well.
"Thank you," he said politely and nodded ever so slightly before accepting the bottle, his fear worsening as his hand met hers for just an instant. Laying his head back, revealing his strong, thick neck and their sweaty, pulsating veins, he took a grand sip of her water before giving the bottle back to her.
He knew he was obliged to speak to her again, but what would he say? Everything that came to mind sounded courteous, and he in no way wished to court her. Even asking her name seemed an invitation to a closer bond Daniel wanted nothing of. Yet, it was the least dangerous path he could envision. "I'm Daniel Novak. Pleased to meet you, miss...?"

When he accepted the bottle and drank from it, revealing his strong neck and exposing even more his naked chest, Rosetta shamelessly took a good look at the show that he was so kindly offering her with a wide grin on her lips. My my... What would she do to lay her hands and mouth on those throbbing muscles... maybe she should repay the favour and give him a show too? After all, it was hot in there, if he was shirtless she could be in matching clothes...
Before she could linger any longer on those thoughts, the guy gave back the bottle introducing himself "Rosetta, Rosetta Rider. But you can just call me 'beautiful', since I might just call you 'charming'." she replied, introducing herself as well with a smirk and getting one step closer to him.

Charming... The word lingered in the air and made Daniel freeze. It reminded him of a past, once so free and gay, now it filled him with dread thinking of it. Things had always gone the way he wished for them to, and yet none of it felt right. None of it had been right. It had all just been an unintended scam. All those poor girls..
He stared at her for longer than what he probably should have, and considered for a moment to use his powers to subdue her attraction, but that didn't feel right either. At times he just wished his powers gone. At times like this he wasn't sure if he hadn't already used them. She was an attractive girl after all, and a redhead, he had always been soft for those.. He couldn't trust himself, he could never trust himself, and the knowledge almost drove him mad.
He cleared his throat to snap out of it, knowing the girl was still seeking a responce. "Daniel will suffice," he tried to say calmly. "And Rosetta is such a beautiful name." No nicknames were needed.

She noticed that for a moment it looked like his mind was somewhere else, but since the moment after he replied to her she didn't really care. "Why thank you..." she replied as he defined her name beautiful, getting closer to him, so close she could actually touch him... occasion, that, in fact, she didn't lose, and she let a finger linger on his muscular chest, enjoying the sensation of his sweat skin against it. "I do think you I'll still call you Charming though... Daniel is a cute name and this" she said letting her finger move freely on his chest "...is not just cute..." she continued with a malicious smirk

Daniel instinctively took a quick step backwards, creating some distance between them. This was not what he wanted, nor what he should want, at all. However, the action was rude, and he realized that quite quickly. "I'm sorry," he said. "I am afraid I have somewhere to be. It was nice talking to you, miss Rider," he continued before he quickly turned on his heal and started to walk away, grabbing his own water bottle and walking quickly towards the wardrobe that would bring him safety.

He stepped away... he actually stepped away from her! What was he, 4? Why was he acting all shy all of a sudden? Was he implying she wasn't good enough for him? She only lifted one eyebrow with a pretty disappointed expression on her face, disappointment that grew even deeper when he even called her 'miss Rider' (what was she? An old lady???), but when he turned around and moved to leave she rolled her eyes resting a hand on her hip and sang for him "Stop! Don't move another step. Now come back here and stay still..." she waited for him to obey to her orders, and she knew she wasn't giving him any choice: if he didn't want to flirt with her... fine, she wasn't one to force someone else, even if she liked to come strongly on others, but that... that was just rude.

Daniel barely heard the words before his body turned around in a sudden motion. Her words were not important, he did not register them, all of his attention was rooted on the fact he was no longer the master of his own body, only compelled to Rosetta's wishes. Before he could realize what was happening, he once again stood face to face with the woman, and her facial expression suddenly made everything clear. Of course, they all had powers here. "What are you doing?" he asked, all gentlemanly behavior suddenly out the window. She was no longer just a girl, she was violating his body and free will.

Rosetta was still looking at him with a lifted eyebrow when he was forced to walk back to her, but when he talked to her with that angry tone, almost attacking her, she narrowed her eyes. Do you really wanna piss off a woman that can make you do ANYTHING she wants you to? She though but kept to herself "Now now, charming, that was quite rude: if you want to leave you can at least have the decency to invent a proper excuse."

It felt like his entire being was being violated. His will, his mind, didn't matter anymore, he was being flung around like a meat bag for her entertainment. Usually the gentleman, Daniel no longer cared about his manners. She had thrown them out the window and he had already forgotten all about them. He was about to show her how little charming he could be.
"My proper excuse would be not wanting to share the same air as a psycho. I'm sorry if that hurts your pretty, little ego. Am I free to go now?" he said as he stared her in the eye, daring her to do more.

At his reply she let out a quick exhalation of disbelief: was he for real? Didn't he get what she was capable of? For a moment a strong light burnt in her eyes, she was intrigued by this boy that didn't show any sign of attraction or fear of her... he could even be gay, but still, he should still be scared... Well, she had to teach him a lesson, didn't she? "Looks like someone needs a little review of good manners..." she said with a wicked grin on her lips before she started singing again "Hit your head against the wall as many times as you need to make room for some manners"

This whole thing was ridiculous and embarrassing, and yet Daniel had no choice but to do as she said, so he slowly walked over to the wall. More than fear of the pain, he felt ridiculed, as if he was powerless against a little child with a tantrum.
"Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot," Daniel attempted a sweeter approach as his head met the wall for the first time. It hurt, but his ego was heavier damaged. The second hit made up his mind, and he saw no other choice but to disturb her pheromone receptors. He never liked using his powers, but this was madness. He was starting to feel like a hostage, and this was a situation he had to get out of. In any case he knew with himself that he would never take advantage of the girl. She was the last woman on earth he wished to enter a relationship with.
"I've just had a rough morning, I didn't mean to take it out on you." Hit number three... number four... Now he just had to wait for her crush to set in.

She just stared there, looking at him while he started bumping his head against the wall. 'we got off on the wrong foot' oh, no darling: you've just been rude to me, and now it's payback time. As he bumped his head against the wall for a second time though, she felt a strange sensation... like she had been sting by an insect or something like that... well, it wasn't important, she shook off the weird sensation and stared again at him "Mhm... I could forgive you, you know... just say the magic word..." she teased him... while he hit again the wall with his face, and then again, and again... it was amusing... although... it was such a pity ruining such a pretty face... such a big, big pity... That face was even more beautiful that she had realised at first! No, no she couldn't allow him to do it any longer, she could forgive him! "Ok stop." she said before actually singing "you can stop now, stay still where you are". So now, after being forced to bump his head to the wall, he just had to stay as still as a statue, with the difference that he could still talk if he wanted to. If he hoped that releasing his power Rosetta would let him go... he had to think again: she seemed really intentioned, in fact, not to let him go now. Instead, she threw herself on him, hugging him "oh sorry, did that hurt?" she asked with concern: he might have even overdone it a bit with his power, seeing how much concern there was now in her eyes
