Lost Pendant (Tag: Marieanne)

Aqua was heading towards the kitchen when she spotted something shining on the floor. She hesitated. It looked like something far too precious to be absentmindedly tossed aside. Someone was probably missing it and frantically searching for something like that, particularly if they noticed it was missing. She knelt down and picked it up, waiting for the flood of information that normally came when she touched something like that.

Marieanne has been just about to change into some fresh clothes since she felt in need after the long journey when she noticed that something essential for her was missing once she looked inside a mirror. Her precious neclace has just gone missing! About to freak out she immediately had started searching the room like crazy while thinking back where she has been. After quite some time of the search inside the room she had gone outside it, about to check out all the places where she had been that day when she spotted a young woman holding something shiny in her hands, Marieannes neclace! With a big happy smile she approached the blue haired. "My neclace! Oh thank god you found it. I already feared it would be gone forever."

Aqua blinked as she pulled herself out of her stupor, recognizing the woman she had just learned so much about. She passed the necklace over, making sure to place it carefully in Marieanne's hand. "Oh yes, well I didn't want it to get sent to lost and found," she said. "Who knows what would have happened then?"

Having her neclace back now Marieanne couldn´t stop to let a few tears run down her face. She really wouldn´t have known what to do without it since it was pretty much everything that was left from her original life besides her memories which partly though were even a little blurred. "Thank you so very much. Is there any way I can make this up to you?"

"Make it up to me? No. You certainly don't have to do that." Aqua insisted. She hesitated and pulled a pack of tissues out of her backpack. She offered it to Marieanne. "Just... Smile?"

Apreaciating the kind act she took one of the tissues and immediately smiled back at the blue haired while she put her neclace back on before she wiped away the tears with the tissue. "Thanks again. What´s your name though if I may ask?"

"My name is Aqua." she said. The look of relief on Marieanne's face was reward enough for the blue haired youth. She never did like being in the center of attention much. "And you are?"

"I´m Marieanne, Marieanne Trevelyan. It´s more than a pleasure to meet you Aqua." She replied polietly, finally with no more crying.

"Likewise," Aqua said, truly meaning it. "Why don't we go to the kitchen? I was about to get a cup of tea. If you like I could make you one too. After a scare like that you might want something for your nerves." She smiled, hoping that Marieanne didn't take it the wrong way.

"Tea? Oh yes that sounds wonderfull." She happily accepted the offer. "Do you know where it is though? It appears I know about places here and there but the main or most important aries seemed to have hidden from me so far."

"It's just around the corner." Aqua said. She motioned for Marieanne to follow her. She had at least taken a look at the map of the floor layout when she got there so she knew about where the kitchen was. "What made you decide to come here of all places?" Aqua asked. "To the facility I mean."

Following her lead Marieanne let guide herself into the kitchen. At Aquas question though she hesitated for a moment to reply. "Learning to deal with my ... power better mostly, besides finding some similars. How about you?"

"Making a bigger difference with my power." Aqua said. She busied herself around the kitchen to keep herself from saying more than she should. So she set out to find a kettle, two cups, some tea bags and a few other minor things. "Get out there, see new things, you know?"

"Ah yes, I understand. Have seen quite a lot of things so far though but Elite surely seems to be something highly unique." She replied, leaned against a counter.

"Unique is good." Aqua said. "And some people just need a place that's comfortable. No one really ever knew I had powers. It's just something you tend to keep to yourself."

She said that with a note of firmness to let Marieanne know she wasn't really going to start talking too much, but light enough to let her know she wasn't trying to be mean about it. There were just some things a smart person kept to themselves. Aqua's power would most likely make other people skittish around her. No one liked having their secrets revealed and she knew that if she wanted to she could abuse what her power could do.

"Oh that´s so true, if you only new." She replied while chuckleing before she bit her lip, fearing she would tell to much otherwise.

Aqua's expression softened. She sighed and put the kettle on, so the water would heat up. Now she was left without anything to keep her hands busy, which may or may not have been a good thing, she supposed. Regardless she looked up, meeting Marieanne's eyes. . "We've all seen a lot before we got here," Aqua tried to soothe.

"Oh so very true." Marieanne approved before she took a good look at her neclace like so countless times before. Whenever she looked at it it both made her terribly sad about her loss but also happy about the good memories. Even though the time with her family has been so awefully short she wouldn´t want to miss any second of it.

Aqua bit her lip. She wasn't sure what she could say that could ease a portion of Marieanne's pain, one that she understood but simply couldn't put a fathomable basis of comparison to. "But this place is a start over for a lot of us. We can try new things and experience different stuff." Aqua insisted, trying to put a positive spin on it.

Being lost in her memories for a moment she was glad that Aqua had given her the bit of time she needed to be able to give her the attention again she deserved. "Oh yes ... and I actually really need one. I surely can´t wait though to the daily life to start though."

"And... er, what group are you in?" Aqua asked in what she hoped appeared hopeful despite knowing that the two of them were not in the same assignment together. Not with her psychic abilities. "You don't have to say your power of course! I mean mine isn't... smiled on of course..."

She smiled back at Aqua while she herself now took care of the kattle as it seemed to have quite the boiling water. "It´s fine to ask don´t worry. I´m in the PSA devision. What about you?"

"PSP division." Aqua replied. She moved to the kettle and took it off the stove. Only after she turned it off did she pour two cups of steaming water into the mugs with the tea bags. She passed one mug over to Marieanne. "Sugar? Milk?"

With a kind "thanks you" she took the offered mug and hold it tight in front of her. "No thanks. I like it raw or rather I´m used to it that way." She replied with a smile.

Aqua nodded. She would, after the tea was done seeping, add sugar and milk to hers. She preferred it on the sweeter side. "Aren't you at least excited for the training we'll be going to?" she asked. "I've never done anything like this before." She just hoped she didn't make a fool of herself or have to show her powers. There wasn't much 'showing' going on with what she can do.
