Description of superpower:
By touching an object or person, Eret can clearly see recent events surrounding them (within a couple of months). Sometimes it doesn't work, especially if he's under stress. Beyond two months and things getting hazier the further he tries to see until he can't discern anything more.

Personality:
Eret is often described as a giant teddy bear. He likes to take care of people and make friends with just about anyone. Despite a rough life, he maintains an optimistic attitude about life; "It can't rain all the time" is his favorite saying. Even so, his temper is easily provoked should someone threaten a loved one, whether intentionally or not. He's also angered by bigotry and snobs who look down on those not born with silver spoons in their mouths.

Story:
Eret's was born to a young couple through in vitro fertilization, the same as his older sister, whom he called Sissy. The first several years of his life were peaceful and happy, and he was close to Sissy and their mothers. Even as Sissy grew into her rebellious teenage years and argued with their mothers, things were still relatively good. Around the time he turned seven, one of his mothers, Beatrice, was diagnosed with cancer. While she started chemotherapy, his other mother, Carol, worked two jobs to pay the bills. This left him and his sister to do most of the housework and look after Beatrice.
Several months later, Sissy got into an argument with Carol over a boy she hung out with. She left that night, as she tended to do, for a friend's house to crash at. Eret hadn't thought much of it--he thought she was alright at a friend's house--but when she didn't return the next day or go to school, he went over to the friend's house. When he tried to peer into the building Sissy appeared next to him before disappearing into the backyard. He followed her and as he touched the area around the pool, he saw the previous night's events that led to her death. The other teenagers that tried covering up her death, even though it was accidental, were sent to juvie for a long time. Eret concealed his abilities from his mothers and others around him, though with great difficulty, and practiced them when he could.
Beatrice went into remission, and the family tried to get back into a normal routine. Eret struggled with losing his sister, and took to sports to help work it out. As he grew, so did his control over his ability. Whereas at first he saw only a couple of days back, he could now look months into the past of a person or an object. When he heard about Elite, he figured his power would be an asset and help a lot of people, and signed up despite his mothers' protests.

Extra:
Eret really likes food. He's never seen without some kind of snack. He's very generous with them too.
He's actually a very good guitar player and singer. If someone asks for a song, he's happy to oblige.
That being said, if he romances anyone, he'll get cheesy and start serenading them at a candle light dinner.
Eret is pansexual. He's only ever had one romantic partner, and that ended on bad terms. He's willing to try again now, though.
Eret's very free with his affections, and hugs a lot. He respects people's boundaries, though, and won't touch anyone who doesn't want to be.
He's a fan of comedies (think Shaun of the Dead and Robin Hood: Men in Tights).
He really likes animals. He had two dogs and three cats back home. He almost broke down giving them away to friends before leaving.
He's afraid of clowns, puppets, spiders, puppet clown spiders, and the Kool-Aid Man (he used to think he was full of blood).
He's a bit desensitized to gore since some things he sees are pretty awful.
Even so, he has a hard time hurting people and hopes that whatever assignments are in his future are non-violent.
But he will fight you for control of the remote. (BRING IT BRUH.)
Sometimes he can't really tell if something is really happening in that moment or happened in the past.
He doesn't like spending too much money and prefers buying cheap.
