Aqua yawned to herself. After a late night studying in the library, she was exhausted, strangely so. So she was quietly sitting off in the corner of the cafeteria stirring a cup of tea. For some reason she had been feeling lousy lately. She shrugged it off as the beginnings of a cold. It was right when fall started and it was probably just a light bug.
Kadaj spotted Aqua as her eyes flicked over tables for a place to sit and she made a beeline in her direction. She usually sat alone but she felt she probably make an effort to maintain one of the few friendships she seemed to be making. She offered Aqua a hesitant smile as she settled at the table with her.
"Hey!" Aqua greeted happily. She budged over to Kadaj had room to join her, moving a few of her things. She was surprised to see Kadaj again, considering how timid about her powers and others in general, but she was glad to see the younger girl. "How are you?"
"Hello," Kadaj greeted, voice a bit high. She wasn't too used to conversing with people on friendly terms and it seeped into her tone upon replying. "I'm doing pretty good," Kadaj offered. She was still adjusting to being around all these people, but she knew she'd adjust eventually. "What about you?"
"A bit better than I was last time." she said. She smiled at Kadaj. She would rather not let the other woman get dragged into her social problems when Kadaj was still getting used to large crowds and being around people who weren't family. "So... Cafeteria food huh? I hear the staff get better quality stuff..."
