Such a cold climate, Luca thought to himself as he walked around in the cold snow in only pants and no shirt. He didn’t wear shirts that much due the fact that he didn’t care much at all about covering up his upper body. Luca was proud of his family marks around his torso and chest, and it didn’t bother him if others commented about his shirtless attire. Though he wore pants knowing that was extremely indecent to the eyes of others. A few of the family members that were sitting on the back of their traveling caravans or sitting around the campfires just gazed over him with envy. Luca just gave them a light wave as he moved his hand at one of the dying campfires and raised it, causing the dying fire to flame up more. The members around the fire gave him some friendly nods before returning to their conversation while Luca continued on into the snow, leaving melted footsteps behind him as a trail. His mind wondered onto the aspects of what that upcoming training center could do for him. The thought of using his powers as a superhero had never crossed his mind ever. Why should it? Luca and his family never met with any obstacle that came their way on the road. Though the idea of helping others seemed like an interest for him. He loved bringing joy and laughter to others, even though his power could be problematic. But no matter now. He already signed up for the training center, knowing full well that if he passed that test then his life will change. His life as a gypsy would come to an end if he passed that test. But to the encouragement and approval made by his parents, Luca agreed to sign up for the training center.
“Luca! Get back inside immediately!” A woman called out in a worried tone from one of the caravans, standing there while trying to rub her hands together for warmth. Luca laughed a bit to himself as he spun around to look in the direction of the woman. The woman that had given birth to him. The woman with the loveliest voice that Luca woke up to every morning. His mother. “I’ve already told you that the cold doesn’t bother me!” he exclaimed over to her, waving his hand down to the melted footprints in the snow with a lopsided grin. She just stood there, tapping her foot and giving his a stern gaze. “It bothers me!” she responded back, placing her hands on her hips in a taunting manner. Well that didn’t budge her at all still, Luca thought to himself in defeat. Even though she knew of his powers and such. His mother was afraid that his powers might just fail him one day or go out of complete control. This was the main reason to why he was leaving his family for the training center. But to also make her and his father proud by becoming an UN agent if he passed that test and completed the center.
Luca let out a soft sigh of defeat before striding over to his parent’s caravan and immediately taking a hold of his mother’s slender yet fragile hands. He gave her a light smile as he transferred some of his warmth into her cold hands. “Let’s get you out of the cold as well, mother.” Luca remarked as he led his mother inside of the caravan out of the cold. She gave him a light nod and a soft smile as he led her in. In Luca’s mind, he hoped that he’ll pass that entry test for his sake. And for his parents sake as well. What will they teach him? What will be the test? Did he have what it took? There were many questions swarming his mind, but there was one thing he knew. Whatever they threw, Luca would just have to overcome their obstacles thrown at him. And get into that center.
