It was meant to be another normal day of filming for Penny, continuing her role that she had received all those years ago. She was the main actress for the television series 'Bolt', which featured herself and a genetically modified dog.
Penny looked a couple of years younger than she was, which was why she still fit in the role for the series, and was 13 years old but looked young enough to play a 10 year old.
It WAS a normal day of filming, acting as an intellectual child with the supplies and skills of a spy, until she was taking her furry companion into their trailer.
It wasn't unusual for Penny to play with the dog after filming, it had become something she was used to. However, what was unusual was Bolt replying to her words in a different way. Words. Not barking. But words. It almost scared Penny how this dog that she had spent time with almost everyday had spoken to her, but she managed to compose herself and had a small conversation with Bolt before quickly running off to her manager. It wasn't a dream, much to her disbelief, and her talking to animals was something her manager wished to take advantage of.
It wasn't long before Penny told her mother of this 'ability' of hers, and in her wisdom Penny's mother decided to suggest that she enroll into a center she had heard of. Penny had therefore decided that it would help her and her ability, and therefore accepted. However, Penny's manager wouldn't say no to having this ability of hers publicized, which caused the literal kicking of him out of the van. After all, something as special as this shouldn't be public, not to mention the fear Penny had of the tabloids taking it over the top and having the word "Freak" labeled over her name.
