Delicious Pizza (Tag: Anyone)

Cricket didn't realize she was getting hungry until after she had spent most of the day wandering about, most specifically, after the forest. And the mention of pizza while she talked with Duncan was not helping either. She needed some food! Cricket was about to make her way to the fast food area, until she saw a sign that read Pizza Place. She practically skipped to it and got in line to order one delicious pepperoni pizza. No. Three pizzas. Her stomach was practically begging for more, so she just couldn't let it down. She was usually a big messy eater, so she just found a spot to sit alone as she didn't recognize any of the people that were sitting down already with other people.

Pizza. That was the food that kept gnawing at his mind, which had his stomach screaming at him for some bacon bits pizza. And that definitely got Nolan heading straight towards the pizza place, getting in the line to order himself a pizza. After a moment or two, he headed out to find himself a seat by himself but only found that most of the seats had been taken up by groups of people. Brown eyes gazed around the seating area, searching for a decent seat until his gaze fell upon Ramona and her empty table. I'm not taking my pizza back to my room to eat an almost cold pizza, Nolan thought to himself as he headed over to the table, glancing down at the girl. "Is it okay if I sit here?"

Cricket had just taken a huge first bite and froze when she heard a voice right above her. Looking up, she blinked a couple of times at the guy, he looked like a model or something. Sitting up straight, she chewed her pizza really fast and gulped it down as fast as she could. Oh why do people always start conversations when she's in the middle of chewing? "Um, yeah, go ahead! Nobody's sitting there. Umm. But you know that, I guess." She fumbled around before giving a wide innocent grin. The words of her Foster Mother rang in her ears, 'prim and proper, nothing like a pauper.' "I'm Cricket." She replied as she waved, learning not to shake someone's hand this time.

Nolan gave the girl a reassuring smile as she froze and blinked up at him a couple of times. After she was done chewing and swallowing, she replied to his question in a fumbling manner. Although her fumbling didn't really bother him. Nolan then took a seat down at the table with his pizza, giving her a light wave as she introduced herself. "I'm Nolan, nice to meet you cricket." he replied, tilting his head a bit at the name. "Is that a nickname?"

Cricket cleared her throat and composed herself. She didn't want to be known as the weird girl here... again. "Hi Nolan." She said as normal as possible as she kept her smile. He even had a model-esque name. "Oh, yeah it is. My name is Ramona, and Cricket was originally a nickname that my friends...these girls I knew gave me, but I just go by it now. I think it fits better anyway." She corrected herself, dismissing it. She shrugged her shoulders with a small smile as she looked at Nolan. Nobody had really called her Ramona since she was 11.

Nolan smiled a bit as she gave him her real name, but furrowed his eyebrows a bit at Ramona a bit. "What name would you want me to call you by? I like either name." Especially her real name. Nolan thought it was cute, the name actually reminding him of those children's books that he loved reading as a child. "Your name reminds me of Ramona from the children's book." Nolan finally commented out his thoughts about her name. Brown eyes then took notice of the three pizza other than his pizza on the table. Must have been crazily hungry.

She couldn't help but blush a little bit. This was the second time a guy complimented her today, the first was Duncan, and it was so.. weird? Nobody ever paid attention to her at home. Cricket imagined for a second that every guy here was from a covert Underwear Model division in the UN and were already trained agents--testing her to see if she would make as well of an agent as them. Cricket blushed a little harder when she realized that she was thinking about all this when Nolan had asked her a question. "Oh um thank you, nobody's told me that before.. Whichever you want to call me is fine," she smiled really proud, blinking a couple of times to try and get rid of some of her redness. "It's kind of funny because your name reminds of an underwear model. I mean--not that you look like an underwear model. Or wear underwear. Well you have to wear underwear--but not that you couldn't be an underwear model--you're really handsome. I mean. Um. What." She couldn't stop blathering out words and felt like her eyes were going to pop out of her head. She stared down at her pizzas to avoid looking at him.

Nolan blinked a bit in surprise as Ramona started blushing a bit before her cheeks even got redder before she responded to his question. "Hm, then I'll stick to Ramona." He remarked with a light smile, furrowing his eyebrows a bit as she looked a bit nervous. And then his eyes immediately widened as soon as she started talking about how his name reminded her of an underwear model. As she continued to ramble on nervously, Nolan couldn't help but chuckle a bit in pure delight at the scene before him. Her rambling was quite cute, yet very embarrassing though. "Don't worry, nervousness gets the best of everyone," Nolan reassured the girl quickly, giving her a sheepish smile. Her words had slightly embarrassed him as well. An underwear model? Oh gosh!

Cricket glanced back up to him and cooled down a little bit when he reassured her. "Heh. Sorry. I don't usually blather." Shrugging her shoulders, she apologized. Really, she was a huge extrovert, but it seemed she couldn't help but get flustered in front of guys. There was a kind of awkward silence at the table for a little bit and Cricket took a couple of bites of her pizza in the meantime to calm down. Glancing back up to Nolan, she sighed a little bit and gave the best smile she could. "Umm, so anyway... how are you liking it here so far at the training center?"

Nolan sighed softly in relief when it seemed liked she was cooling down a bit. "And the blushing?" he asked in a teasing tone, giving her a light playful smile. After a small awkward moment of silence occurred between the two, soon enough Ramona started up a new conversation. Most likely throwing away the earlier conversation to start anew. Nolan took a few bites of his bacon bits pizza, dipping the leftover crust of one slice into a small cup of light ranch and munching on the crust. "I'm liking it quite good actually. It's good to start anew in a new different place, with others around me with similar powers."

She tried her hardest not to blush again when he mentioned the blushing. So instead, she just laughed with the same playful tone. "And the blushing." She confirmed with a small smile. When he mentioned meeting others with powers, she raised her head a little bit. "Oh really? I haven't met anybody with my power yet. What's your power?"

Nolan chuckled softly before taking a sip of his drink to flush down some of the pizza before responding to her question. "Electrokinesis. I haven't met people with the same power as me, although I've met someone with tech powers. Which you could call similar to mine." Although his powers could be dangerous for electronics. He tilted his head to the side, asking out in a curious tone, "So what's your power?"

Her head bopped up a little bit. "Electrokinesis?" she repeated. "So you can.. manipulate electricity? That must save on your electric bill." She joked excitingly, smiling. Everybody she met here so far had different powers, all very different from each other. It was really refreshing to be in a place where different was actually good and Cricket just loved that. "Oh? Me? I've got super strength. Nothing too fancy or sophisticated, heh." She shrugged off her power with a weak smile.

Nolan nodded his head a bit, replying, "Yep,thats my power." He chuckled a bit at her bill comment,shaking his head in dismissal. "Its a pain in the ass sometimes though." He remarked, referring to his powers. As she spoke of her power like it wasn't special, nolan just quirked an eyebrow at.the girl. "You're talking about it, like it isn't special. Your power is the most well known in the world. And one of the top powers to have due to comic hero's. So your power is pretty special."

"I totally get it about things being a total pain.. there. Trust me." She agreed with a nod. Cricket couldn't count how many times she had accidentally broken stuff just because she wasn't aware of her strength at the time. "I guess so. Thanks," she smiled up to him. "I guess it's just hard to imagine myself as some comic book hero or anything." Even though that was totally the opposite from the truth. When she heard about Elite, she had run around her house with a red blanket tied around her neck, pretending she was Superman.  I'm gonna save the world! she yelled as she punched and kicked the air. Needless to say, Cricket had some expectations that she wasn't sure she herself would meet. But she would never admit that.
