Feeding The Birds {Tag:Hiccup}

Andy was sitting quietly on the grass. He had small pieces of corn and peanuts that he had set out in a trail leading to him and a mix of birds were curiously coming to investigate. He smiled gently at the little animals, humming a soft tune to himself.

It had taken some time to solve the damn 'Mittens problem', but now finally things were settled! Mittens could stay with him, the zoo keepre had actually been really nice and understanding and well, since non of his roommates complained... well, now Hiccup couldn't be happier! Of course Mittens had to behave, but beside having a terrible personality Mittens was actually a well educated cat so he wasn't worried. Now he had left her in his new room and was finally enjoying the gardens on his own, just for once! He didn't mind going around with Mittens, but she liked to stay inside most of the time, or to run around freely, and having to constantly follow her around for fear one of the EVEs could take her away had been quite stressful. He was quietly walking on his oen, enjoying the gardens, when he had started hearing the chirping of some happy birds talking about some corn and peanuts. Curiously he had followed their chirping, not noticing Andy standing actually not far from where he was "Hello little friends. Looks like you found something nice." he greeted them, commenting on their food "Yes! It's so good! Are you hungry? Do you want some?" one of the birds gently even offered, and Hiccup had to fight hard with himself not to laugh at that but being nice and polite instead "Why thank you, little one, but I'm really not hungry"

Andy glanced over as he heard someone talking.... to the birds? He supposed that wasn't the strangest thing here. One of the birds had come close enough to eat out of his palm and he smiled fondly. Being among animals always seemed to relax him.

The bird tried to insist, insisting that the food was good and that Hiccup looked so skinny and that maybe the food would help him grow his feathers, which made Hiccup laugh, even if he tried to contain himself "No, really, I'm fine, I'm big enough, you can eat it." he chuckled amused, still not noticing Andy

Andy smiled slightly, figuring he should greet the other guy. He didn't want to startle the birds away either though. He twitched in surprise when one landed on his shoulder, letting out a soft noise of surprise.

Hiccup was still talking to the birds when the chirping of one of them who had separated himself from the group interrupted him "There is another human, another human! He's giving the food! He's a good human!" "uh?" Hiccup turned around ins surprise, noticing only then the boy sitting there "oh... hello..." he finally greeted him, wondering for how long they had been so close to each others and he hadn't even seen him...

"Hello," Andy greeted shyly, lifting the hand that wasn't holding the seed to give a slight wave at Hiccup. The bird on his should walked down his arm to his hand where the peanuts were, making him chuckle fondly.

Hiccup waved back, greeting him for a second time now, smiling as well seeing how the little bird was enjoying this boy's treat. "They're really enjoying those peanuts" he commented, even if that was quite obvious, he just wasn't really sure about what he had to say...

Andy glanced down at the birds at Hiccup's comment, smiling fondly at the small creatures.  "I'm glad," He chuckled.  He was very fond of animals.

He smiled at his reply, not really sure about what to say now. Gosh, why talking to animals was always so much easier? Well... maybe he could start by introducing himself... "I'm... Hiccup. Uhm... Nice to meet you" he said, offering his hand

Andy took his hand, the bird on his shoulder hopping a bit at the movement. "Andy, Nice to meet you too. I take it from your power you're probably in.... the BCM division?" He ventured uncertainly.

Hiccup took the hand but didn't even shake it not to scare more the bird "Nice to meet you too." he replied with a smile before continuing "Yeah, you guessed right... ehm... I can only suppose you're not in BCM..." well, he had never seen the guy at training so... but he was now curious to know from what division he was.

Andy grinned softly in amusement. "Ya, I'm in IRTS," Andy told him. "Not one of the 'super intellect' people though which is like half the division," he added with a chuckle.
