Hiro just nodded at the first question, having already decided for himself a long time ago, that tlaking about your problems was a waste of time. Why bother with that, when one could spend their time with something productive? Like in his case, explore and find some stuff to build with. Alwasy worked for taking his mind off of things that might be bothering him... Then at least he'd be more focused on that instead of sitting curled up somewhere and feeling sorry for himself.
"Well have you ever had anyone to listen to you?"
Hiro blinked, now not as sure anymore as he thought more about the question. He wanted to look annoyed, but instead only mussterd up aan expression mixed between confusing and... upset. "Not... really," he mumbled.
And then he wa spouting again, and with a frustrated sigh he threw his arms up in the air before allowing himself to fall back down on the sand. "It's not like anything of that matters now anyway."

Luca gazed down at the male, watching as his expression changed quickly into one that looked very unsure. The surprisingly to the older male, the younger male suddenly put his hands up in the air before falling back down onto the sand. "Well I've got open ears." he grinned a bit as he looked down at the male, giving him a bright grin. And the pouting just started back up again. "Are you sure about that? Having someone listen to ya might help." Did the male not have anybody in his past life before this center to speak to? If he did, did they ever listen to him?

Hiro mumbled something to himself, covering his eyes with one arm as he laid down on the sand. "And so does everyone else. But the trick is to know how to use them ." He hadn't ment to sound so dry or spiteful when he said that, but he's only ever had the 'privilege' to run into people who refused to use their hearing. At least when it came to him.
He glanced up Luca from behind his arm, sighing a bit tireadly. "Seriously, why would you care..?" he asked quietly, unlike before not sounding annoyed or angry. Just genuinely wondering why the male would bother with him to begin with. They didn't even know each other's names.

Luca tilted his head down at the male before plopping down on the sand next to the male, sitting cross-legged. "I'm using my ears, aren't I? I've been listening so far." he remarked with a light grin as he succeeded in getting all of the sand off and out of the seashell. It was a tiny little conch in his hand.
Chocolate brown eyes glanced from the seashell over to the male, gazing down at him with slight interest. "Because I don't like to see people frowning or to see them in sour moods like you have. And that it might do you some good to get that sourness out of you." Luca then paused for a moment before holding his hand out quickly down at the male. "Oh! Also! I'm Luca."

"Yeah, and that's kind of creeping me out," Hiro retorted with. Not that he was creeped out by the overly friendly guy, he wasn't Reno, but he did thought it was weird... He glanced up at the male again as he sat down beside him, his brown eyes not for the first time wandering over those tattoo markings across the male's body. He quickly averted his eyes again when Luca gazed down at him, but unfortnaetly for him a little to slow. He coverd his eyes with his arm again in an attempt of hiding the small blush. "...Hiro," he quietly mumbled back after Luca introduced himself. "And I am getting the sourness out of me, jsut have my own way of doing it."

"Well I didn't mean to come across that way." Luca grinned sheepishly, saying this in an apologetic tone. He couldn't help but come across this way. It was just part of his personality, his mother would've said if she was here. His chocolate brown eyes slightly dazed out in remembrance of his mother before quickly returned it's full attention back onto the male. Soon enough to catch the male's eyes gazing over his tattoos. "The tattoos are gypsy tradition in my family." Luca wasn't sure if any other gypsy troupe's did things similarly as his family. Mostly because Luca had never came in contact with another before. But he did think that his family was a bit odder than most which seemed nice for him. Luca then pulled his hand back, noticing that the male wasn't going to shake it."Nice to meet ya!" he beamed before furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "And what way is that?"

Hiro removed his arm from his face again when Luca gave him a quick explination about the tattoos, unable to deny that it sparked his curiosity. So this guy was a gypsy? Hiro's never really given them much thought, if he had to be honest. But he wouldn't mind learning more about their traditns and such. Removing his arm completely, he pushed himself up into a sitting position, pouting a bit again to himself when Luca still just wouldn't let the issue of his sour mood go. It was starting to get a bit uncomfortable actually...
"Buy wandering off somewhere I'm alone and can curse and shout however much I need too, until I'm to exahusted to care," he said, hugging his knees once again.

Luca grinned a bit as the male finally removed his arm away from his eyes and sat up."Really? Have you even done so, so far?" Luca questioned the male, as hemoved his gaze back over to the ocean. "Well at least you're not keeping it built up inside you all the time." Like luca did with his powers.

Hiro shaked his head at the question, his gaze now blankly staring at seashell half buried in the sand infront of him. "Not sicne arriving here," he murmured, resting his chin agaisnt his knee. "Haven't needed to yet, to occupied being excited over every little thing I see." A small hint of a smile now present on his face. "And like I already said, i have better stuff to think about than that."

Luca smiled abit as he took notice of the male's small hint of a smile. "Oh? How do ya like the place so far?" He asked in a bright tone. The place seemed really great to hi. It might not be like home. But it was an amazing place especially with people similar fo him. "Can't wait for training to start soon?" He added in another question, curious to how the boy felt about the center. It seemed to excite the male due to his earlier remark.

And just like that, it as if Hiro hadn't even been in a bad mood to begin with, his whole demanor brigthend up, eyes going wide with excitment and wonder. "This place is amazing!" he excalimed. "And the training? Even more so! Just of all the different powers and abilites we'll get to see! And how we'll be able to create, build and learn so many things! I can barely imagine it myself!"
And he'll even get to meet Professor Callaghan, the creator behind those EVE's robot for instance. And the whole meeting and getting along with Tadashi (someone he looked up to, he ain't a fanboy!) hadn't left him in shock already. This... this place was going to be great. Here they'll give him the opportunities he's seeked...

Luca chuckled a bit in delight at the sight of the male's whole demeanor brightened up, his eyes lighting up in response at this. "It really is, right?!" he agreed with the male, nodding his head quickly. "I can't wait to see everyone else's powers as well!" he grinned, laughing a bit at the male's excitement. He tilted his head as he examined the young male beside him. "Which division are you in, by the way? I'm in ECM." Luca questioned the male, curious to know about the younger male and such. "I see that you're in a better mood now too." Luca chuckled a bit as he winked at the younger male playfully.

Hiro's eyes seemed to shine for a bit there when Luca told him about his divison. "Elemental control and manipulation," he said, nodding to himself. "Of course, I could've guessed that. Since you're a fire-user and all," he trailed off in thought for a bit, wondering how many elemental manipulators there'd be in that divison. "I'm in IRTS," he answerd proudly, only to have it replaced with a pout. "Would you just drop it already?"

Luca chuckled a bit as he took notice of the shining in the male's eyes as he told him of his division, gazing down at the male with a curious expression. "That's super intellect right?" Luca asked in a curious tone, wondering about the male's division. Also what the younger male's specialty in the division as well. He grinned in amusement at the sight of the male's pout, before reluctantly nodding his head a bit at the male's request. "Alright. I'll do so for now."

Hiro's pout dropped again at Luca's curious question and gave a firm nod, smiling a bit in pride again. "Intelligence, resources and technical support, to be exact," he clarified. "As for my special talent, while it may not being something as fascinating like elemental manipulation, technokinesis or shapeshifting, with heightened and enhanced intellect I can create something just as mindblowing," he spoke with confidence.

Luca qirked a n eyebrow over at the male when he was corrected by the younger guy. He grinned lightly at the male's statement over how he could also make something mindblowing."If you're here, then I have no doubt that your amazing as well." He nodded his head to the male, giving him an assuring grin.

Hiro was about to retort with some smartass comment, or preparing and defending himself for whatever Luca was about to say. But instead, the older took him buy surprise, and all Hiro ended up doing was stare at Luca, his face heating up while a tickling feeling crawled up from his stomach.
Realizing how silly he mus be looking like, he quickly shaked his head as if to rid of the blush, and turned his head as far away from the other as he could. "W-well yeah. Didn't need you to tell me."

After his remark, Luca found himself to being stared at by the younger male, who seemed so shocked and surprised by his remark. He grinned lightly in amusement as he took delight in the sight of the male's face heating up out of embarrassment. But he also had to bite his tongue once more to try and not call the male adorable once more. "Can't I speak the truth?" he asked of the male in a teasing yet blunt tone.

Hiro mumbled something under his breath, wishing he had still had his hoddie on so he could at least pull the hood over his face and flat ut deny that he was not embaressed. "Of course you can," he murmured, glacning bakc at the older once more, trying to think up somethgn snarky or smart to say, hopefully to leave the other speechless for once, but for once his brain couldn't come up with anything good enough. Now that sure was a first. "Like I said, don't need you to tell me that.."

"Glad to hear that." Luca commented with a bright grin, nodding his head once. Then raised his eyebrow at the male's repeating remark, shrugging his shoulders in a nonchalant manner. "Oh? So you rather i stop calling you anazing. And just go back ro adorable then?" Luca asked the male in a teasing tone, with a sly grin.

Hiro stared at him again, a look of disbelief soon washing over his still flushed and embaressed expression. "S-stop mocking me!" he exclaimed then, jumping up to his feet quickly. If there was thign he wasn't used to, it wa sbeign prasied. And when it happend, he didn't know what to think (for once) and often beived the kind words to be lies and taunts. Surely this guy here, was just like everyone else...

Luca.tilted his head at the male, furrowing his eyebrows at the male's change of expression. "I'm not mocking you." He responded as he watched the male jump to his feet, looking up at him. "I don't lie either. If thats what you're thinking." He commented with a light shrug of his shoulders."You're here, aren't you? They tested your abilities and you passed. It meant that they know you have the potential of an agent." Luca added in a straightforward tone.

Hiro hated feeling childish. Being looked down upon and underastimated, along with being shuffed aside simply beacuse of his age. And feeling like he did now, was only a way of proving all those assholes right, that indeed, he was still only a kid. And right now, litsening to Luca's reasoning and knowing he was right, just made him feel stupid as well.
Biting his lip, Hiro shoved his hands inside his pockets, glaring out at the sea like he had before.

Luca tilted his head up at the male before sighing softly. "Sorry to upset ya, though." He commented, giving the male an apologetic. By the look of that glare, it seemed that they were back to square one."Hey now cheer up." Luca remarked out as he opened his hand a bit. A ball of flames appeared in his hand before multiple balls of fire shot out up to the younger male and revolved a safe distance around Hiro's head.

Hiro didn't say anything, just kept his glare locked on the ocean. If he had to be honest with himself, he wasn't really mad at Luca. He was more upset with himself than anything. Everyone he had run into today, he's either been rude toweards, scarign them off with his weird and odd question about tests and experiemnts, or just flat out ignored them. His roommate didn't seem to mind... that much. And Tadashi didn't seem to mind him either... the guy had even appeard to had fun spendig time with him, much to the boy's surprsie.
Sigh. Of all the things he ahd to lack in, it had to be people skills.
Sighing, he was just about to throw a quick apology and then hurry away, but was frozen in his spot as the flames surrnded him. He stared at them in wonder, eyes growing wider and almsot shinning as he watched the flames dance, not at all worried about getting burned. He was smiling again, without realisint it, and just like before he begn reaching a hand out toward the fire.
