Go With The Flow [TAG: Reno]

Merida shoved her umbrella into the sand as hard as she could. As soon as she felt it wouldn't topple over she opened it and set about unpacking and getting her sunblock on. The water was amazingly clear and blue, so much that one could see the bottom for a good distance out from shore. She wondered if she could send pictures to her dad of the water. He would have loved to see it for himself.

When she was reasonably covered and had her goggles on, Merida bee-lined for the water. She spent a good deal of time snapping pictures of stunned fish, sometimes reaching out to touch them and let them tickle her feet. She only went back to shore when her stomach declared it was time for snacks. As she munched on her barbecue chips, she glanced around her and felt a little sad that not many had decided to take advantage of the beach. As much as she'd hated the crowds as a child, the silence did seem to weigh on her a bit.

On normal occasions, Reno wasn't that big of a fan of the beach, mostly because of the big crowds always occupying them. He was always more than tempted to drown those spoiled, obnoxious, ear-shattering kids for example, but that wouldn't had looked on his already bad record now would it? But that didn't mean he didn't enjoy a trip to the ocean either. He took every chance he had to have fun and enjoy himself, and one day soaking underneath the sun and splashing around in the water like a damn kid himself was a perfect way to waste time on. So, when the EVE robot had informed him about the beach, he had wasted no time in tearing out his swim truks from his luggage, throwing his clothes off, and grabbing the other things he would need for a nice day basking around. Once raching the beach, he was happy to discover it being as good as empty.
Whistling to himself he began strolling around the beach, taking his sweet time before deciding on where he wanted to sit and just enjoying the sweet view of the cristal clear water.

Merida tossed her empty chip bag into her pack and pulled out a can of root beer to chug down. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a bright red dot further down the shore. She looked over and noticed there was someone else, a young man by the look of it. An idea popped into her head and she grinned before heading back into the water. With any luck, he wouldn't notice her presence until she wanted him too.

While under water, she shifted into her other form and slowly swam closer to the man's spot on shore. When she was sure she was in his field of view, she burst out of the water, shaped like a shark, and charged him, screaming, "I am Ghost Shark! Feed me your soul!"

Reno had stopped for a moment during his little walk, facing the ocean and closed his eyes as he enjoyed the soft breeze. When he opened his eyes again, he thought he saw something swimming towards him in the water, but thought nothing of it and just brushed off the the thing for being a fish. But just when he turned his focus elsewhere and was about resume walking, the 'fish' had burst out of the water, nearly giving him a damn heart attack. "Holy fuck!" he screamed out in surprise, dropping his things and falling backwards into the sand. He was quick to sit back up however, giving the talking, blue.... thing a weird look. "If you want food poisoning, then sure, help yourself."

Merida snorted with laughter, and fell onto the sand, once again in her physical form. "Your f-face!" she howled, clutching her sides as she rolled around. "Oh I got you good, I did!" She reached out a grabbed something that he'd dropped--sunblock it looked like. "Now that's something to write home about." she told him with a grin.

"Here, I'll help ya get your stuff." She said, standing up to start gathering his things. It seemed she'd startled him more than she thought she would--they were everywhere.

Reno exression changed into one of mild amusment as he watched the blue thing change into girl, one with pretty damn impressive hair if he might add. He snorte dunder his breathe, not as irritated as he thought he'd be, as he watced the other redhead roll around in the sand while laughing her had off. Normally, it was he who the did the jumpscares and ended up with stomach ache due to laughter.
"So I guess my soul wasn't good enough for ya," he joked back while jumping up to his feet.

When she finally calmed down, he was thankful to see she wasn't just about to un off and instead began helping him gathering his stuff. Good thing it wasn't that much to begin with. "As much I enjoyed that little entrance of yours, there are easier ways to get my attention," he chuckled, examining his now broken sunglasses. Well, he wanted a new pair anyway.

"No soul's good enough for me. I'm just too awesome." Merida said dramatically, flipping her hair like TV models did. She snorted at his other comment. "But where's the fun in easy? Gimme glowing demon sharks any day."

She caught sight of his glasses and frowned, feeling guilty. "Oh, sorry man. I'll buy you a new pair." She hadn't meant to break anything. It was supposed to be all in good fun. She had to be more careful.

Reno chuckled, giving her a low whistle for the nice pose she pulled there. "Ok, true. Just add a little fireworks here and there next time, and it'll be unforgetable," he smirked, not even joking. Noticing her frown, he glanced down at his broken shades, but jsut shrugged it off as if it wasn't a big deal. "Nah, I didn't like them anyway," he said casually, obviously not botherd by his small loss. "But feel free to buy me a new pair," he smirked.

"Hmm, I've never tried making fireworks." Merida tapped her chin, wondering if she could do it. Well, she'd certainly try. She chuckled, liking the ego boost. "I thought I already was unforgettable."

"Right. I'll get ya some really good ones-- maybe something with Mickey Mouse." She teased, putting her hands on her hips.

"Well when ya do, give me a call so I can catch it on film," he grinned. If she decided to use this little entrance to indroduce herself to others, then Reno would like the front seat, just see their reactions. "That fabolus hair of yours is unforgettable," he snickerd, before rolling his eyes at her teasing. "Babe, you dress me up in a SpongeBob suit and I'd still look good," he said confidently.

"You'll be the first. Promise." Merida smiled. It was good to see someone else with a mischievous streak as well. Maybe she could rope him into a few good pranks before training started. Giving people a good laugh would set them at ease, right? "Oh sure, I bet you would. A sexy SpongeBob outfit, too! Cheap one." She giggled. "Us redheads can make a piece of shite look good."

Reno smirked over at the other redhead, having already decided that he liked this eccentric and unforgetable (as she just put it herself) chick, if he barely even knew her yet. So her first impression, even if it had risked an heartattack on his part, sat rather we'll with him. Now he knew someone else besides himself to have a fondness for pranks on this island.
"Oh, I lika ya," he snickerd in approvment. "Great minds really do think alike."

Merida smiled, patting his shoulder affectionately. "I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship." She told him, her hand over heart for dramatic effect. "This island won't know what hit it!" It'd been a while since she'd had friends to hang out with. Working at the gas station had seriously cut into her social life. She already couldn't wait to see where it would lead.

"Beautiful indeed," Reno agreed, returing the gesture and patting her on the shoulder as well, before using the top of her head as support and resting his elbow on it. "And probably a dysfunctional one too," he added as an after thought with an amused smirk.
He laughed at his fellow redhead's anticts, already able to picture what kind of mess they'd leave behind them.

"We'll be legends!" She cackled, an excited glint in her eyes. "Merida and--um. Uh, what was your name again?" Merida chuckled at herself for forgetting to ask. Too much fun to remember, she supposed. She held out her hand and told him, "I'm Merida MacTavish."

Reno gave her a blank look, taking him a second before he realised what she's asked. Oh right, his name. Her little introdutcion before was kind of distracting. As well as her hair. And her personality in general. Oh he was going to enjoy this for sure.
"Reno Sinclair," he smirked, taking her hand and giving it a firm shake. "Pleasure to meet ya. Just don't give me any more heartattacks later on," he sncikerd.
